Ahh, Daisy the Royal Cow all knocked up and ready to produce more li'l Royals.

Remember when she broke up with William at one point because she was worried about how she would become nothing but a "Royal wife" and have no real life or identity of her own? But then she decided that she could have her cake and eat it too and it would all be different for her so she married him?

The amount of publicity she has raised for mental health charities and her overall demeanour makes me believe she is one of the most humble and genuine royals, ever.

Really thrilled for her, quite surprised though I genuinely thought after having a boy and a girl that would be it.

Indeed; all the more reason that it's tragic for her to be mixed up with that nest of vipers. What do you think will happen if her and Wills ever fall out of love? What if she does end up wanting to leave? Do you think she'll get to set up home as an independent mother with the little princes and princesses? Not a chance. She'll be following in the footsteps of her mother in law.

Her best hope is that her relationship with William is genuine AND everlasting... William and Harry do seem at least marginally less toxic than what's come before...

Because if the great royal babymaker ever wants out, she's in for an unpleasant ride.

Where is the comparison between "Islam" and the modern day Royal Family?

And he's not wrong. Look at the way Diana was treated. A means to producing heirs to the throne and nothing more to them.

No you weren't you were making a direct comparison between TS's willingness to be "brutal" about the Monarchy but not Islam.

A very poor attempt at a non existent comparison I might add.

Exactly, self hatred.

Hates the Monarchy, because it's his Monarchy. Doesn't hate Islam, because he doesn't belong to that. It's not "my" monarchy for a start.

Secondly, how are these things at all comparable? I don't particularly like Islam or any other religion as a concept, I also don't particularly like monarchy or any other form of hereditary rule as a concept.

But this thread isn't about concepts, its about individuals? Why are you comparing a small group of individuals to "Muslims"? Now if there are some specific groups of individual Muslims you would like to talk about that might be different, but then, I don't think you see them as individuals at all, do you? Nice broad strokes for Alfie, as to not be too intellectually taxing.

I'm not a monarchist because I believe all people are equal though unfortunately that seldom seems to work out and often ends up a dictatorial state (see communism) but it seems to me a bit low using a couples decision to have a baby as a means to criticise them. They can afford three and seem like a nice enough young couple, good luck to them.

I don't see anyone criticising that idiot Wayne Rooney for spawning again. I'm sure we need more Wayne's right?

One other note, if you'd ever seen the press charging Diana like a herd of demented elephants, something I witnessed once, you'd totally get how a car she was in might have been forced off the road and into a wall. I can't stand Charles but not sure I'd accuse him of having the mother of his children murdered after witnessing the press rampage after her.

I think you'll find that I did criticize the Rooneys just a few days ago :hee:. And I don't have any issue with anyone having as many kids as they want. However, when it starts being announced and lauded as some sort of amazing miracle for the nation, I personally think that's a concept that's very much open to criticism.

So no... you don't see other random pregnant couples getting criticism for it... but then, I don't see anyone clapping and swooning because the random lady down the road is pregnant, either . So I guess the heavy criticism is needed for the sake of some sort of balance.

The couple are hardly responsible for how it is lauded and probably had to announce because she has bad morning sickness and has to cancel engagements.

My brain, for some reason muddled this thread and the one below (I think I might be gay) and produced 'Will and Kate are gay' and I thought wtf how does that even work?

So a couple, dependent on the state, (Assuming W&K are on the Civil List), are having another child, will Kate have to give an intrusive and personal account to the DWP as to why she should receive universal tax credits for this third child? as per the infamouse Child tax credit 'rape clause (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-39652791) brought in by George Osborne in 2015?

I think she can afford to look after another child without needing tax credits.

Possibly, but I am being satirical about the tax credits story and showing a sort of double standard.

Many women in Islam are a means to producing heirs and nothing more to them. No difference there.

Have a glance back at my post in the context of the discussion.

It has no relevance to TS nor his opinion on the monarchy.
