Since the other topic got locked, not naming any names by the way.
This is where we can talk about Paris

I think people are being quite immature and childish. I think it’s OK to respond to ‘provocative’ posts – if you see them in that way – and saying your bit. But constantly scraping off an argument that has worn a bit thin now is a tad pointless. Yes, this is a thread for Paris fans, but I’m sure others can post here too (like myself – I’m hardly a Paris fan), IF you’ve got something constructive to say about the topic. There are countless and numerous Paris and Nicole threads, where the same thing is being repeated – you can continue doing so if you wish. But I see this topic title and subject as different.
I thought people were supportive of this type of thread to begin with anyway – why have opinions changed? This is a thread NOT about the things people keep repeating, and instead to wish Paris luck. It’s like, you’re not really going to go in a thread about Shrek, and post about Toy Story are you? I mean you’re entitled to if you want, but people don’t generally do that.

It's only gonna lead to arguments again. Some people just can't keep away.

YEs. I think it will lead to an argument. Do you know why?
MarkWaldorf

Because people just can't stop themselves.

Kind of but that's not how i'd express itf. Some people want to debate and others can't stand to hear what they say even if it's true.

Well, it's not like her fans don't think she did anything wrong. For one, I am not saying she didn't break the law, because she did. I'm just supporting her, and so are the others.
I don't blame them. People are always insulting her, we don't wanna hear it because we know to ignore it.
GiRTh
06-05-2007, 03:33 PM
Fair point. It's a shame that some of the other forum members don't have your attitude. So lets debate the subject.
She's viloated her parole so she's doomed. i hope she doesn't get hurt in there but she only has herself to blame.
MarkWaldorf
06-05-2007, 03:36 PM
She has got herself to blame, she isn't above the law, which is what this 'sentence' should make her realise. Also, her money wont get her out of this.
Hopefully she doesn't get hurt, no matter how much you hate her, wishing danger upon someone isn't a good option.
GiRTh
06-05-2007, 03:42 PM
i don't hate her I just wished she didn't do some of the things she does. Hopefully this experience will straighten her out. If it doesn't then the haters will relly go after her and, again, she will only have herself to blame. I think she's a silly stupid little girls who needs a taste of reality.
MarkWaldorf
06-05-2007, 03:43 PM
What does she do for you to hate her?
GiRTh
06-05-2007, 03:47 PM
I don't hate her. I don't like her media lifstyle. I'm like that with Jordan and Jade and anyone else who lives their lives in the papers. Plus, I don't care for her 'projects'. Singing and acting should be left to singers and actors.

Are you forgetting that she put other people's lives in danger when she got into the car drunk? It seems that none of you realise that, she did not care the danger she put others in by drunk driving and that's the sole reason i couldn't care less about the danger she will be in prision.

THe reason the same thing is being said over and over is cuz it's not sinking in. Sorry but the point STILL needs to be made. All some are concerned about is Paris welfare in prison. There aren't many people stating, as Mark has, that they don't want her to go to prison but it's her own fault. I don't see the point in a thread almost exclusively for for Paris fans? What can they all discuss among themselves,
Bells

That they wish her luck, hope she learns from her experience, etc.

Most of then aren't posting that. One posted - I don't care what she did. Free her. Also, how many words of support does she need? I think this is a dead topic, to be honest, but it's the 'for Paris fans only' threads that are keeping it alive.

I think I get the gist of what you're saying. Your typing makes it a bit difficult.
But if people want this thread to discuss that in, I think they're entitled to it - as I've mentioned, that's what the topic of the thread suggests. It's not for me or you or anyone to say whether it's dead or not.
And the one remark you've referred to was made by Sophie, we all know that. And as I mentioned in another thread, whatever went on in that thread happened then and was dealt with then. I think it's unfair and pointless to bring up things relating to Sophie when she's banned until tomorrow and can't exactly respond or defend herself. The least people can do is wait until that ban is over, otherwise it's not much of a debate.

The reason I bought that post up was to highlight why there are so many arguments on the forum. For Paris fans only thread are pointless if the only reason for them is to be all peppy and upbeat but ignore the fact that Paris has repeatedly broke the law and deserves her punishment.

And as i stated in the other thread, NO. I'm not gonna not post in a thread because it was made for her fans because that's not how a forum works.
And yes, it's been said a lot but that is because as GiRth said, it's not sinking into their heads as they keep asking 'why all the hate?' etc.
Not only that, but in the other thread, kizwiz asked that if an anti-Paris thread was made, would all her fans stay away from that so we could all diss her and call her every name under the sun, they clearly said they wouldn't, so it's not 1 rule for them and another for everyone else.
Seriously, just leave me be to say what i want, where i want, i'm always going to do that. Her fans honestly can't expect to create a thread about such an inconciderate person, say they sun shines out of her ar$e, say she doesn't deserve to go to jail, etc, etc and then expect nobody to say anything.
If they want that to happen then they should create their own Paris forum, they can say whatever they want over there without other people giving their opinion because as we've gathered, a lot of people don't like hearing others opinions.

Unfortunately that always seems to exist. I’m not telling you not to post anywhere, just saying that you’re only repeating yourself. I know you’re saying it’s doesn’t seem to be sinking in, but reading the same thing continuously does get a bit tiring. Whilst kizwiz’s question was an interesting one, I think the problem is do with maturity and communication skills rather than it being ‘one rule for them and another for everyone else’.
On this thread, nobody’s said anything the way you’re describing anyway, you’ve not really given anyone a chance to relate to the topic title yet.

It's been proven that hearing/reading things over and over eventually sinks in, this could actually work.
And i know i'm repeating myself but that's because people are asking questions which need a response and therefore need me to repeat myself so if it is tiring then the only thing i can suggest is to not read the topics as i'm pretty sure it's going to be said a few more times, at least.
Perhaps it is a 'maturity' thing but that still doesn't make me want to not post here just to please people, it's never going to happen unfourtunately.
And they have, Mark asked the question 'What does she do for you to hate her?' and the whole 'putting other peoples lives in danger' that i've repeated 3847234720 times is probably the best example of why people hate her. And as for not letting them relate to the topic, that's their fault, they could have used it for saying 'good luck' 80 times over for all i care but they haven't, they have made provokative statements and asked provokative questions which makes me personally want to respond.

Actually, fair point - there's me going on about support Paris if you want to - and there doesn't seem to be a Paris fan in sight anyway, posting anything.
It's probably because they don't want to post anything in case it breaks out into another immature argument. All they really want to say, I thought, is good luck and hope all goes well for her, not that she 'doesn't deserve it, the sun shines out her arse' etc. At least, that's not what I'm defending.

And i know she didn't, but the reason she was on a suspended license was for drunk driving. That's the point, i honestly don't care whether she was drunk, drugged up or sober when she drove on the suspended license, doing it once is enough for me to build a very big dislike towards her.

My opinion on her would change A LOT yeah, there is no excuse in the world for drunk driving, and more so with celebrities as they have the money to click their fingers and have somebody drive them wherever they want to be. I'd think she was a selfish, inconciderate person for putting other peoples lives at risk and i'd more than likely dislike her as a person yes.

Driving in the state she was, she had the potential to be a murderer, a mass murderer infact.
ETA: Murder is too strong, but still, it's killing someone and she could have.

The reason she's doing time is precisely cus of that. She's a repeat offender. Are you endorsing that ?
Shes done it twice.. fact!
Dont make her out to be some kind of murderer.
I know. It hardly makes her a murderer.
There's a little girl missing, yet the only crime people are talking about is Paris's.
I've been talking about that girl earlier to day with my mum actually. There is not much of a debate you can have about that though, is there? Other than 'they're bad parents for leaving her in the room by herself'.

The reason why there is only one thread on that girl is cuz the people posting in it all seem to understand the problem. The Paris fans are just not getting it.

Was the girl not snatched? The police apparently know who the kidnapper is.

Yes but we could discuss it.
I know NOTHING about that. Yet I know all the details about Paris, because people are posting about that.
I wish we could lock all these threads and just end the debate or its gonna be non-stop.

Can we not just end with
'Paris Hilton did break the law, therefore she's paying the time, and her fans are supporting her'
Cause people just can't accept that.

Well, i've seen none of you make threads about the little girl so you can't exactly complain.

Why are the fans still supporting her? Thats the question I want an answer to.

Well I for one,am supporting her. But not in the same way as others might.
I just dont want to see her get harmed in any way.
I hope this sentence teaches her, and nothing like this will ever happen again, but Im still behind her!

If I was endorsing it, I would be saying go out and do it. I've just frigging posted something saying she did the crime, and should pay the time.

Of course it is, but what she done was still horrible as she put other peoples lives in danger, point blank. There is no getting around that fact.
And come on Ash, how many times is it now?

But she didn't kill anyone, or put them in danger. Doing something and not doing something are two different things.

Yeah, Chris is just supporting Paris. As he does. As for other posts on the matter, I've not had the opportunity to read through them all but I'm guessing it's just the same thing.
LMAO Ant... go already! You just can't leave, can you.

By driving whilst being over the alcohol limit she was putting all her fellow motorists and anyone else passing by in danger because you're not fully in control whilst under the influence.
