That's not what they say though.

Americans say "alooominum". They miss out the second "i" altogether.

I think it's because the way we say it would sound daft in an American accent. :laugh:

He did, but I cannot for the life of me remember what he said. Didn't convince me though, just makes no sense.

I say it the same way as this (that's how I was going to type it out) but I can't figure out which way it is on the poll. :think:

I assumed the first one was like 'ca-rib-ian' and the second was 'car-ib-ian' so basically you pronounce it as 'carrrrr'
