I'm doing a politics and english degree because I wanted to be Prime Minister or an MP or write a book or be a teacher but now I kind of want to be a make-up artist. Thoughts?

you don't need a degree to be a makeup artist, so unless you've wanted to be one for a while (my impression from your post was it's a recent development?) I'd keep up your degree, and do some kind of MUA training on the side :)

that degree is just a degree that you should have not done and just got a job as now whatever job you go for that is inevitably unrelated you will be 3 years behind your peers

You can do make up artistry training on the side, you won't have time when you are Tory PM though so it will be a waste
