This is problematic cause 'buck' sounds different depending on if you're from oop north or not. I say it as if it rhymes with ****** and saying 'book' like that is Bristolian tbh

So I say it like 'buck' but the northern way of saying that :hee:

I pronounce it like 'Luke', I'm not sure if that's the same as 'bewk'?

I rhyme it with brook, cook, look, hook, rook, took etc like a normal person

I pronounce some of these differently to each other  Like 'brook', 'cook', 'hook', 'rook' would be the same as 'book'/'luke', but 'took', 'look' would be like 'luck'. Do you say 'food' the same as you pronounce those? ^

Jamie89
17-09-2017, 04:38 PM
I think it's a northern thing though, I get some funny looks when I say 'cook book' since moving down here.
