Dryer.
Hubby does hang his cycling gear on the line though, and I have noticed he has started using an airer thing as well.

There should be a 'both' option because I do use both regularly, the line more in the summer, the dryer more in the winter and when I'm lazy.

Both depending on the weather but I live in Ireland so the washing line is useless 90% of the year

Line first and foremost, dryer just for if things haven't dried in time for when you want them/iron them.

Airer indoors as I'm in a flat. Dryer for towels and bedsheets only as I have a fear of it shrinking my clothes :worry:

Radiator (is that a universal word?) mostly. I had a dryer in my old house but don't anymore and I cant get used to the line. Such a week-ruiner when it rains

I call it that too lol.
To answer the question, we always put it out on the washing line if it's reasonable weather, or inside on the clothes horse if it is not.

It also helps to be weather aware and use good radar so you
1. know precisely when it will rain
2. be able to identify days which washing will dry on

We have a retractable one so it doesn't make the garden look ugly when it's not in use

Ours isn't a "whirly one" though, it's like this and it attaches on to hooks at the other side of the garden :hee:
