Chrome is very demanding and not a good option on older machines or those with limited memory

Safari on both, though I'll use Chrome on my Mac when I want to stream something because it seems to run better

Chrome, it's easily the best now and also I need remote desktop. Used to be FireFox for many years but it became bloated and functionality fell way behind. Ramsay; the IT guy who told you Firefox is better needs to realise it's not 2012 :nono:.
FireFox Focus (not the bog standard FireFox) on my phone, though, where the opposite is true: Chrome on Android starts to hog system resources if you don't go through it closing tabs etc. every couple of days. FF Focus completely clears itself as soon as the app closes. Clean, small and simple is all you really need on a phone. Unless you do extensive internet browsing on your phone. In which case, stop it and get a proper computer.

Chrome on my work computer, usually on the lap top too but it has been taking too long to open the last week so whatever the browser that came on the lap top is for the moment

switch to opera on your laptop as that uses miles less than power/memory hungry chrome
