Hello Guys!! First of all sorry for my bad English.. I’m a Filipino… apologizes if I’m not welcome here.. 

I stumbled upon this forum after looking and Googling for some spoilers from the Judges house. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see any spoilers.

However, while searching, I couldn’t resist to read some threads/comments here especially regarding Alisah Bonaobra…. I’m a bit sad seeing most of them are hatred and hurting. But as a Filipino, I respect your views guys.
I made an account immediately just to post one thread about Alisah. Don’t worry it will be my first and last. This is to give you guys a lil info about her… though I knew none of you will really care. But I hope you could spare some of your time reading this especially those who have doubts to her… This is not to promote her but to tell you guys the reality about her. I personally know her when she joined the Voice of the PH.

First of all, it is true that Alisah & her family lives in poverty. They sell home-made packed food in sidewalks. One of Alisah’s past time is singing. She even sings to the sidewalk to promote their packed foods to entertain/encourage bystanders to buy it. Sometimes, after their tiring work, they pass onto a mall where Alisah could practice her singing in a karaoke shop there. It is usual for her to sing there, where lots of mall-goers stop by mesmerized by her voice. One time, someone took a video of her singing “Let it go” there and it went viral in the internet and in the Philippines. (just search for it in youtube)
Maybe someone from The voice PH already headhunt her because of that viral video… She joined The Voice two months after the viral video.. She was loved by some and went all the way to the finals. However, there are some issues off-cam during her the voice ph journey. It seems like some of her co-contestants doesn’t like her the fact that she is poor and/or better than them. Nonetheless, she is still talented. During the finals, the winner will be based on the public vote. She loses to a guy who’s fairly good but the voter’s basis is also the looks so Alisah loses because she is darker and chubbier that time and most critiques say she won’t make it because she is trying hard and could not make it to the industry.
After her defeat in the voice, I lost connection to her but Im still following her thru her social media. She wasn’t given a break or any projects by the tv network of the voice even though she placed runner up. That was just sad and unfair (some runner ups of Voice PH are given break unlike her). It’s like that they dumped her. Their life haven’t improved and they still back in selling packed foods in streets. However, Alisah’s experience in the voice made her fighting spirit & confidence improved. She joined another singing contest in other network but ended up just a runner up still. That made some of her fans sad and decreasing but still they admire her determination. She again join in a different singing competition from the same network of The Voice Ph but this time, she didn’t even qualify to semis. That’s a big downgrade to her name….
Most Filipinos already recognize her when they saw her competing again… and they face palm when she didn’t make through even though she performed good and best among the rest. Haters of her already increases, bashing her and telling not to join any more competition, just go home and sell potatoes. Others said just go back to the streets.. (its very heartaching as a fan).
I see that Alisah just kept the negativity away.. she tried and tried again in small contests as well as singing in weddings to earn small for her family. And then I’m shocked when I saw Alisah auditioning in Xfactor UK. I realize that her mother’s friend help them, fund them to go there in UK and support them (together with the Filipino community there) in everything- auditioning, necessities etc. It’s like a gamble to them to tryout international, since local(Philippines) has been cruel to them.
Guys, I want you to know that Alisah has lots of trials/hardhip she had through in life just to pursue the success she is aiming. When you saw her sobbing or begging… I hope you understand as a human that it’s all emotions… and its reality that if you feel the same way, you can’t resist to burst your feelings thru sobbing because of all the hardships and pressure.
There are lots of pressure in her I think right now. She don’t want to waste her chance especially she’s already there in the competition. The begging thing, she fights for it… She’s there already so why not ask for a chance to prove your worth even sacrificing your pride or dignity. In addition, she said she don’t want to go home like that (defeated earlier in bootcamp) so a lot of pressure is there because of either her filipino fans will be disappointed (treating her as a disgrace/shameful representative) and the family that helps them in the plane ticket (wasted money).
I respect your views guys but please if ever can we just respect her too? She maybe not the great there but she is fighting.. and determined.. and that willpower might be the Xfactor in her. This might be her last resort so that she’s doing all she can to prove everyone, (especially the Filipinos who bashed her), that she can get back their trust to her , someday will trust her capability and prove them that she got what it takes to be successful.
We cant please everyone… but I hope we don’t judge people just what we see or hear in TV for the sake of entertainment…
I don’t ask you guys to like her or vote for her or put her to your list. I’m just here to tell what is real and what is unreal that you only perceived from what the show is showing… Yes there is drama, but there is more to that that happens in her real life.
Finally, I wish goodluck to all the contestants.. they are all equally good and I wish all forumers here success to their bets. Thank you
PS: And for some people saying how she feeds her 18 pets, she feed it with leftover food from their sold packed foods. I admired her for that because those are stray cats/dogs that she rescued/adopted with love.

Hi

Can I just say I'm a fan of alisah and I don't understand why her journey on the x factor has been so hard so far as she is one of the best vocalists. I didn't believe her story as I saw she made the final of the voice but now I feel guilty now you have explained

I do like her and I hope she makes it but I just feel that she may be given a hard time in the live shows

I'm just hoping in case she passes the judges house and go through the live shows (which I doubt because seems Sharon dont like her), they will bring out the best in her in all aspects - song choices, style, even her overall look/aura. She lived in poverty thats why she has no decent or professional training when it comes to styling, performing (dance or whatsoever) and even further vocal training. She can be improved but like what I said, their family cant afford. We Filipinos also has this mindset that when you lose from something, it's not for you or not the right time/place for you. We saw that coming to Alisah after losing in the The Voice PH and several local contests. Maybe international arena is the right place for her... and this is her moment now in Xfactor UK. A leap of faith indeed...

Alisah is my favourite, I think she is getting unfairly attacked for trying her hardest to stay in and getting upset - to me that shows she has the most passion and really want's to be q singer.

Some of them get a no and walk off happy which tells me they do not seriously want a singing career

just something what i'm thinking, with me now knowing about her previous talent show experience, that also happens here in holland, with some contestant who already did previous talent shows or had careers, they aren't getting the votes from the public/viewers as the beginners are more likeable and new to the music industry

that said though Alisah is a good singer, she reminds me of Marlisa from X Factor Australia who also is a Filipino, she won that x factor series under Ronan Keating i don't know if you know her

Do you speak tagalog? You know what, half of Filipinos are proud of Alisah but some still hated her for the begging, crying thing.. they said she's a disgrace to the Philippines for doing that ... I bet these haters and bashers are those who didnt vote for her in the Voice Ph
