I'm really enjoying it. Lots of twists and turns.

I’m hoping for some twist that sees both of them get punished as Andrew and Laura are both very unlikeable characters.

Laura isn't particularly nice, but she is suffering big time, not only raped but her sister was having it away with her fella.:hehe:

The last half hour of episode 5 I was watching through my fingers

Marsh.

What happened to that detective was genuinely disturbing. And to be pregnant too. :worry:

My theory at the start was that someone entered her apartment after Andrew left and raped her. The ex boyfriend or the chatty cab driver.

Then it switched to the detective woman's partner. That actor is too well known to take a meaningless role as a sidekick with so little screen time. So I'm still expecting some 11th hour twist where he helps Andrew to cover his tracks, or it turns out he was the one to rape his partner and not Andrew at all.

Marsh.

Just read that this has got a second series. :umm2: Wish I hadn't bothered now.

Sick of all the dramas clearly designed as one offs dragged out longer than necessary and trying to do a "Broadchurch", which itself barely had enough to sustain more than the one series.

Doctor Foster is another, just focus on wrapping up the story FGS.

I think there will be a death on tomorrow’s finale though.

If they were to do a second series, it wouldn’t be as gripping as this one as we would kind of know what to expect.

A 2nd series with the same characters? :skull:

Marsh.
15-10-2017, 02:16 PM
Yeah I wouldn't mind it bring an anthology series if the writer has a story with two sides of a crime.

But Joanne Froggatt seemed to suggest a second series for this specific story and she would be in it.

Matthew.

I would prefer that over a Series 2 with different chararcters tbh

Marsh.

It really would go into the realms of absurdity like Doctor Foster did.

I haven’t watched that, is it any good?

It's ok for what it is but severely overrated.

And tends to get extremely pretentious too when the lead character narrates the beginning and the end of the series.

Which is better, Liar or Doctor Foster?

Morgan.

I always seemed intrigued by the trailers but I've seen other similar programmes and got too confused and I thought this seemed confusing so I never watched but I've heard it's not that great so I won't watch. Maybe one day, but not now.

Marsh.

For me, Liar.

Ross.

Doctor Foster S1 > this

Marsh.
15-10-2017, 10:17 PM
Oh, go and play with Ophelia.

Ross.
15-10-2017, 10:19 PM
What a nasty little girl you are

Matthew.
15-10-2017, 10:39 PM
I haven’t watched much BBC or STV crime series this year and I wish I watched more. I watched 3 Girls and Liar, I think that’s it.

I wish I watched The Moorside though, does anyone know where I can watch it,

smudgie
16-10-2017, 09:00 PM
Ok, who done it then?
Who has murdered Andrew?

Ross.
16-10-2017, 09:01 PM
:clap1:

Totally on board with a series 2 now

Matthew.
16-10-2017, 09:05 PM
After that ending, I am so ****ing here for Liar S2.

I'm thinking this too but idk if it's too obvious

Think she's guaranteed to have a big role next series regardless since it's Jill Halfpenny

No because it's dragged out.

If he'd have committed suicide it would've been an apt enough ending.

And that stupid undercover policewoman was so bloody inept.

The rapist.

Marsh.
16-10-2017, 10:52 PM
It's too obvious to be Laura herself but the body had been left where she goes kayaking so either dumped there to frame her or he was there waiting for Laura and someone else has intervened.

Marsh.
16-10-2017, 10:52 PM
My heart was in my mouth though when she went into the station and was waiting for the copper. I thought this is it. He's going to be revealed as Andrew's accomplice.

Ross.
16-10-2017, 10:52 PM
We won't find out until 2019

Ross.
16-10-2017, 10:53 PM

He's quite a famous actor who normally plays villains so...

Marsh.
16-10-2017, 10:57 PM
I did cackle at how easy it was though. Finds a text within 2 minutes and the daft bint Mia says oh hi stranger come and take all of Andrew's stuff.

Ross.

I just never got the impression he would be involved :oh:

He and Vanessa were too good a duo

They weren't much of a duo. She only became a character after being raped and he had three scenes asking her how her pregnancy sickness was going.

I thought this

but I was most shocked by Laura Aikman being a copper when we hadn't seen her in that office the 5 episodes prior.

It was a very good series I heard that the second series is a prequel with Andrew and his wife etc

Was really panicking after she got the recordings I was like just hurry up to the police station!! Was convinced he was gonna bang on the window

Love the fact that at the start I totally believed Andrew and thought that laura was just a pyscho

Strictly Jake
17-10-2017, 09:41 AM
Edit: not going to be a prequel after all its going to be who killed Andrew instead

Would be nice if they could blend a prequel and a sequel together though to get a few new characters in the mix
