They say it’s because they want to focus more on the top acts rather than the bottom acts, but isn’t the whole point that the top acts are already getting votes, so the bottom acts get another chance to prove themselves etc?

I just don’t understand. The point in a sing off was people ‘singing for their life’ - putting all the emotion in, seeing them fight for it. They won’t care. The crowd won’t care. Will anybody even watch the extra bit whenever they plan on doing it? All weird

They'll do it before an elimination or before something important so people don't switch off

On another note, do you think this might hinder people’s chance of winning? Depending on the prize, come the final say someone has one this ‘prize’ once or twice already, it might put people off voting for them to win?
