That's no fun, you can't stand by a warm fire in complete darkness in June :nono:

I'm not sure atm, we normally go to the big display at the theme park but I don't know its a pain in the arse standing there freezing

None. My mum and dad came over last night to do some fireworks for the kids. My daughter has a thing about loud noises, so a proper display would be pretty distressing for her I think.

Luke was like that when he was that age too, I remember him in nursery school covering his ears because the other kids were too loud

Yeah she does that a lot. Even like..just a bus driving past her she will cover her ears for sometimes.

Though, oddly, she is fine in the cinema, which is arguably one of the most noisy places you can be

Strange kid

That's the same with Luke, he always loved (still does) the cinema, how odd

He also had an irrational fear of stickers

i used to love fireworks, but having done Edinburgh at New Year for a few years, any other display now is a bit naff.

Omg that reminds me of my younger brother. If like he got glue on his hands he hated the texture and stickiness of it and he would have a big meltdown.

Or even if he got jam on his fingers or anything. His face would change, like he had a poisonous spider crawling up his arm and he would shout you to get it off. :joker:

Mr and Mrs Cherie in perfect sync with one another setting off the fireworks in time to the beat of Billy Jean.

We are going to our local rugby club display tomorrow night, we will leave the dog and cat in the house with TV left on to muffle any loud bangs,so hopefully they will be ok.
