Cheryl to return to X Factor in a £1.5 million deal to save the show

The X Factor is reportedly planning on bringing Cheryl back as a judge next year.

Cheryl returned to the show last month when she joined Simon Cowell at the judges houses stage of the competition.

Cheryl’s comeback, as well as her banter with Simon, was such a hit with viewers that bosses want to bring her back full time, and as current judge Nicole Scherzinger is likely to leave the show next year, there’s a seat going spare.

And ITV are said to be willing to break the bank to do it, offering the Call My Name singer a £1.5million deal to breath new life into the long-running talent show.

A source revealed to The Sun: ‘It looks like Cheryl will be back next year. Simon knows Nicole is likely to leave and he wants a big name, and some much-needed glamour on the panel.

I quite like this years format, I think they could have had more acts so that it extends to 10 weeks but keep the nightly elimination with no sing off, people paid money to save their fav who was then turfed out by the judges vote

The only returns to ever help the show have actually been Nicole & Sharon. When they returned in 2013, the audition ratings were up on 2012. When they came in 2016, the ratings all the way up until Judges Houses were way up on 2015. Both years just made ridiculous decisions at judges houses though so the shows flopped
