The all-time worst, in order:

1) The Quadruple Eviction (BB11) - ruined what would've been a really exciting and unpredictable final amongst four housemates with big fanbases. A fitting end for the final C4 series taken away in one final **** you to the fans

2) 4In4Out (BB16) - ruined a really promising start to a series that had C4 vibes in a desperate, tacky attempt to boost ratings

3) Bringing back VTE (BB14- ) - the debate has been done ad nauseum but this was especially annoying in BB18 when they reverted to VTS to save Chanelle and Sukhi and it worked perfectly, and then they switched back and it destroyed the end of the series.

Shoutouts to cutting the civilian series back (though I blame C5 for that) and for their umpteen embarrassing weekly twists that they come up with ten minutes before the live eviction

VTS has ruined series as well so lets not

Neither system is perfect, but I'll take the minor losses that escape through the net on VTS than the major ones that VTE claims year after year

Agree with all of these

I also would like to add, letting housemates evict rather than the public. The way Sam kaye was treat was absolutely shocking tbh..and I didn't even like her that much.

I agree with all of these, especially the weekly twists. In fact it's difficult to call them twists as they're pretty much the norm, now.

(Had the quadruple eviction been a vote to save though, I would've probably enjoyed it a lot more. God knows what they were thinking.)

Anytime housemates decide who is evicted.

The show should always leave evictions to the public.

Giving Renee the save and replace in CBB18, when she chose Chloe.

Reasons being because had Renee faced eviction, she and James would have probably been saved. Bear and Marnie? Bear everytime to go. And Stephen Bear would have been the third evictee from CBB18.

BB8's all-female launch...

Yeah I never understood why they changed to VTS to save Sukhvinder and Chanelle in the early weeks but then threw Chanelle to the wolves with a VTE a few weeks later.

BB8's all-female launch...

This was the best twist?

I know the female casting in BB8 is probably the best ever (Charley, Chanelle, Lesley, Shabnam, Nicky and Kara-Louise were my faves) It's just the twist felt weird upon first watch because you are so used to both genders being in the house from Launch, and plus the twist only lasted for two days before C4 chucked Ziggy in due to ratings...

The producers decision in BB15 to grant Ashleigh, Chris and Mark immunity as they were the power housemates for the week AND THEN doing a last minute switch and allowing one nominee to swap their self out and put up a power housemates as their replacement was so stupid.

Not only was Ashleigh voted in by the public to have the power for the week AND the immunity as promised, it just showed that the producers had no clue what they were doing by allowing someone who had power status to make the nominations a nominee themself. The producers seriously lacked integrity by going against what they promised the public in their press release for that twist. So glad Ashleigh survived that week bc that was BS.

Also, the new intruder housemates getting a choice to evict Danielle or Ashleigh in BB15 was seriously stupid. Especially since that eviction also had Kimberley on the block who was easily going to be booted (if it was a public vote) but she was allowed to be immune from the eviction because she was unwell and sent to hospital. I remember that being such a messy eviction day.

OH, this!

Emma should've got the main show and Brian BOTS and everyone would've been great in their spot.

BB8 in general really - though it's probably better in hindsight than it was to watch at the time. After the Celeb BB race row though the show needed to move on with confidence but it was just too apologetic and although the all female launch was probably the biggest launch twist they've done it didn't really work at all. I do think individually they had some strong male and female housemates but as a group they didn't particularly provide riveting TV.

Also any series where one HM dominates, as Charlie and then inexplicably Carole did in BBUK, almost always suffers for it. It's never good when the producers treat one housemate as more important than the show.

Possibly the worst thing to happen in Civilian BB and the adoring cheers he got were the icing on top of the already poisonous cake
