There’s no shortage of celebs who want Eden and Lady Nadia Essex to sort out their lives on the show. ‘On series one we were involved very lightly [with choosing the celebs] and now celebrities are coming to us,’ Eden explains. ‘Since series three I’ve had a lot of DMs from verified accounts on Twitter saying “I love the series, how can I get involved?” and I tell them series four is coming soon, as soon as it’s announced get your representation in to speak to Channel 4/Lime, and we’ll all sit down and have a conversation about it.’

And yes, they do favour a certain type of celebrity. ‘We go for celebs that are going to be good entertainment, we go for celebs that are going to be good value, and we go for celebs that we know are going to test us but in some way reward us.’

The celebs and the dates are only allowed to talk while filming’s actually taking place – and if there’s a break they have to keep shtum.’We have to make sure the datee and the celeb don’t talk during that at all,’ Eden tells us,’because it’s those little moments when the cameras are off that one of them will deliver an amazing line, so it’s a little bit different from your average date.’

I'm really excited for this series though. The lineups get progressively worse and I think at some point they need an All Stars with the celebs who haven't found love yet/most popular single celebs returning for another shot, but tbh I like getting to know new celebs. I literally love Toff and that's all down to Celebs Go Dating!
