View Full Version : Why was Jack kicked off?

If it’s for something he said six years ago, I feel sorry for him and the show should be embarassed.

Apparently his management pulled him out because they need him to respond to the comments which he can’t do in there basically worried his “images” will be tarnished if he ever had one

But why did he go on the show in the first place considering he had such a colourful past that would always come out and upset people :bored: . I don't have sympathy for an immature idiot like Jack . I am surprised it's come to the stage where he's had to leave /be kicked out though . So clearly things were looking really bad for IAC the show itself  . And i'm glad he's gone as it wouldn't look good for the show to have someone like that getting to the final or even winning ! .

What you've got to realise is this jumped up moron is idolised by mostly little kids and it sends out the worst message to support or keep somebody who has said such offensive things online for the world to see , even if it's in his past he still said it and it's out there .That's why people like him shouldn't be role models but unfortunately kids and his youtube fans consider him one :bored: .

The whole thing was weird as he was in the jungle with Shappi,Amir & Vanessa and maybe producers were so worried about the backlash especially now a gay politician is going in so he's been removed .

It's not about being 'offended'. As a celebrity, your twitter showcases your views, and I'd imagine ITV simply don't want to be seen as supporting homphobia and the word '******', and them demonstrating such language is unacceptable is no bad thing iMO.

TomC
22-11-2017, 02:20 AM
In fact, suggesting it's the 'gays' fault for being 'offended' actually to me suggests a degree of (internal) homophobia. As gay people we should be standing up against this kind of stuff together. People may say 'oh it was five years ag' but in historical tersm 5yrs is sfa, and it's about time this stuff was put to bed.

it is about the station getting the blame and that blame/tarnish affecting advertising revenue

If people were offended by him, then the simple solution would have been to not vote to save him, and get his ass off the show that way. The world is full of dickheads, we all have to deal with them every day of our lives, so why do we need protecting from some twat on our TV's? It is complete over reaction.

Imagine the amounts of cocaine that has passed through the nostrils of celebrities who have appeared on this show (in Shaun Ryders case you can also add heroin), yet it's not drug abuse but language/words that is the serious crime.

A statement from Jack's agent said: “In the last few days Jack Maynard has been the subject of a succession of media stories which, given his position as a contestant on 'I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' - filmed in the Australian jungle, with no contact with the outside world, he has been unable to respond to.

"Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed that it would be better to bring him out of the show.

"Jack agrees with this decision which was made by his representatives and ITV and thanks everyone who has supported him in the show this far.”

who decided they were inappropriate and this will be to save khan and vardy?

The reaction to what someone said years ago is silly, although on the other hand if you're going into a show watched by millions you will know people will delve into your past. Perhaps him and his managers should have done a clean up rather than leaving everything for the media to latch on to.

The whole thing is a bit ridicolous though and what has been quoted so far isn't that horrific to read.

So some those tweets he would have been

Well people are digging up Amir's & vardy's tweets thinking they're as bad . I think if you look for bad stuff you'll find it :bored: , drunken stupid Facebook messages ,drunken tweets probably from a a lot of famous people who others look up to .

And generally a lot of immature nonsensical stuff on social media that celebrities wouldn't say on tv , I don't know why they insist on writing these things online  .

Yes teenagers are very immature as their brains aren't fully developed yet , but at the same time you've got to be held accountable for the stupidity :bored: .

I think we can all say we've been silly and immature as kids but how many of us have said or written highly offensive stuff :nono:, so I still feel it's a cop out to use Jack's age as an excuse  , and how do we know he's changed? .

Itv messed up by putting him in the jungle in the first place. If they did their research they'd know there's alot of YouTubers who are up their own arse and offend alot of people and who come across as massive twts .

On the other hand I'm tired of this witch Hunt that's taken place with Amir & Vardy , I'm waiting for people to find more dirt and scrutinise Jamie & Dennis next :idc: .

this is crackers, he said what he said 6 years ago as a barely out of school, is he to be punished for the rest of his life for something foolish that he's said such a long time ago, we are all probably guilty of spouting stupid stuff when so young. The world gets worse, we've all been offended in the past but we have to 'man, woman' up and get the hell over it. Yeah it wasn't nice what he said but its 6 effing years ago, pathetic

On Lorraine, Dan spoke about it and completely brushed past the rude word towards disabled people and just spoke about himself like usual. Ffs

I don't watch IAC and I don't care about Jack one way or the other but I think it's good he was kicked off the show, not because of offense or PC or anything to do with him, but because he'll have a lot of young followers and it's a good message to them, so they can see the things they do and say will have consequences.
That's the problem with social media like twitter, the anonymity of it and people thinking they can be as awful as they want and not have to face the consequences. Making examples of people like Jack show that that isn't always the case and it might make some people think twice about their actions before sending abuse to others.

She could have probably put it in a nicer way but she was talking about Honey Boo Boo who was on a reality tv show where she acted a brat and her obese mother fed her and her family spaghetti microwaved in butter and ketchup, they were insanely unhealthy and it ended up the mother was dating a child molesterer.

I wouldn't use the word fat but the kid was overweight and fed terribly.
