Leave it by bed fully on, a bomb could go off and I wouldn't wake anyway
I just don't have a phone, that way nobody bothers me ever, or if they do, they have to get off their arses and knock at my door.
I do have a phone, but rarely have it on. It's an old phone about ten years old

I live in a dip and don't get a mobile signal where I live. So I leave it switched off in my bag mostly, unless I'm working.

My latest mobile phone is still lurking in the back of a drawer.

Thing is, I don't really like chatting on the phone so it's never been an issue, really. I'm just not one of those people who lives with their phone in their hand the majority of the time. I use it for work and that's pretty much it.

It's on my bed with me. (I don't even use it very much, but that's where my charger is)

It's charging on the desk at the opposite side of the room with my alarm on it. :hee:

I leave it switched on next to my bed because it doubles as my alarm (and I'm also a doctor/fireman/surgeon/PM)

Mines plugged into my charger all night beside my bed. I know thats dangerous but its a habit I cannot break
I leave the sound on too just incase as people who have my number (not many) would only ring in an absolute emergency.

We have a docker on the bedside table and it goes on there with the ipad overnight, so it doesn't run out in the daytime.

I always leave it on charging (mostly for my alarm tbh and messages) and in case of any emergencies.
I leave it switched on next to my bed because it doubles as my alarm (and I'm also a doctor/fireman/surgeon/PM)
that's a busy life!

Under me pillow on charge!
My phone is always on my bedside table every night fuly charged, mostly due to my dad having a long term illness and I have to be easily contacted by the hospital regardless of the time and I also use the alarm on it.

I take it to bed but turn it off and put it on my bedside cabinet. Basically I do this so I know where it is. If anyone needed to contact me in an emergency then I have a landline

I leave it on all night beside my bed charging since it's also my alarm. I might be guilty of picking it up and spending some time on it when I can't sleep however :fan:

Either by my bed if I need it for a alarm or charging up at its socket in my room
Eddie.

Mostly on my desk across my room, on silent mode. So that I would not be disturbed by overnight spam on WhatsApp
it’s on my bedside table because it’s my alarm clock

would it kill any of you to buy a small quartz alarm clock?
(I know you use the alarm so you can grab your phone to see if you got any attention on social media while you slept..)

To all you who sleep in bed with it especially under your pillow it increases the risk of brain cancer

I listen to the Off Camera interviews in bed on the rare occasion a 10/10 isn't joining me, so my phone is in bed with me with my earphones plugged in.

I always switched off and left downstairs but recently a close friend needed me to be there - just in case so i took my phone to bed and what a flamin mistake that was ! 3rd night the phone was in my dressing gown pocket and when i took it off the phone must have hit the bed end as when i looked at it the next morning there was a diagonal crack from one side of the screen to the other :bawling:

That's unproven, however, having a phone on charge under the pillow is at risk of having the battery overheat and explode . So probably not the BEST idea...

It's not 1992 LT; with modern batteries and the way they charge you won't notice any reduction in battery life for 4 or 5 years and most people don't keep their phone for anywhere near that long.

http://time.com/4949569/mobile-phone-charge-overnight/Even that says it takes a couple of years and is talking about iPhones which have notoriously poor battery lifespan.
I'm not saying it isn't bad for the battery; it is, eventually, but the sad fact is we live in a wasteful world of ever-advancing tech and the vast majority of people get a new phone every 24 months when their contract is up. You're not going to get a significant drop in battery life in 2 years with most modern smartphones.

yeah i never have a phone longer than a year or 2 so its just not an issue, but it could be if you keep it for longer

Mine is left switched on, charging at the other side of the room as I use it for my alarm to get me up for work, since it’s on the other side of the room it forces me to get up to switch it off.

As long as your not charging it under your pillow. Charging your phone under your pillow is a very real fire hazard.
