Should i run an award show?

I was thinking of hosting an award show. And i was thinking a TV (excluding Reality TV and Entertainment cause that´s Luke´s), movie and gaming awards.

Should i and more importantly can i (due to someone else already doing them) host one?

I´m just not sure if someone has done this before, so i´m hesitant to do it just yet, cause i don´t want to step on anyone´s toes and upset anyone.

Has someone one TIBB done this before? I mean the search didn´t give me any results, but...
