I'll try and get a YT friendly version done, but with licensing getting tougher I wouldn't get my hopes up.

It's not cagefighting, it's Mixed Martial Arts.
14-0 Joanna Jedrzejczyk, widely considered the best female fighter in the world loses to 7-3 underdog Rose Namajunas.
And Judd Trump, one of the best snooker players in the World, loses in the first round to 46 year old unknown Rory McLeod.

People are sleeping on the popularity of MMA. It's the fastest growing sport in the world and it's social media presence is huge. The UFC did a show in Australia a few years ago and had 60,000 people attend. The fact the BBC are mentioning the sport more often will only help it's profile over here.
Snooker meanwhile has always been a massive sport in the UK. Big ratings in the mid eighties and the World Championship is always given prime time BBC coverage.
