The judge should be sacked. Utterly disgusting paying this creep anything. What is happening to this country!

He shouldn't have been given a penny. But the courts shouldn't have dillydallied when it came to deporting him, keeping him in jail for longer. He also shouldn't be referred to as a "refugee".

What a slap in the face for his victims.

Why, he is.

Absolutely vile. Our 'justice' system is a complete joke at times.

You can’t help but wonder whether the fact his victims were all female factored into his decision. They were only women - probably asked for it!
The judge was implementing the law that is there to protect everyone. The fact that he was detained for longer than he should have been is not acceptable.
The home office shouldn't have messed up

Here's hoping that he does find justice one day...or that justice finds him, with a big bloody stick.:fist:

Re-reading the article, it sounds like he won't even be deported, so it doesn't really matter that he spent extra time in jail.

They were trying to deport him. He is a danger to women and shouldn’t be walking the streets. As usual the criminals’ rights come first.

At our expense - he should be charged for his keep - about £110,000 should do it.

This is a complicated situation... obviously, it's pretty foul that this guy is getting money essentially for committing a terrible crime.
On the other hand - this isn't really about this guy and taking the specifics out of the equation there MUST be consequences for people being unlawfully detained beyond the length of their sentence... otherwise the entire sentencing system becomes a sham. You commit a crime, you are sentenced, you serve that sentence and then you are released... that's pretty much the basics of the law... if it becomes a system where the authorities can just release someone "whenever they feel like it" with no repercussions, that has some pretty scary implications for everyone.

Yes it does. You have a sentence given to you. You don't just keep hold of them for two years longer than that sentence for sh*ts and giggles.

The system isn’t trying to deport most criminals upon their release. He was a danger to women and would have disappeared and likely attacked again. Don’t we detain criminals whilst awaiting deportation whether serving a sentence or not.
Unfortunately even his country of origin didn’t want him, which speaks volumes, so muggins Britain does it again and lands us with another serial sex offender or worse. Try telling his next victim about his rights. Creep must be laughing his way to the bank and totally bemused by the stupidity of this country.

Assuming much? surely what you’re saying defeats the who point of being sent to prison in the first place
