None of the other housemates in the line-up – which will begin as an all-female house to mark 100 years since women won the vote – have been confirmed yet. In fact, Celebrity Big Brother hardly ever reveal their line-up ahead of the live launch.

But with Rachel penning a column for The Daily Mail confirming her place on the series - and admitting that she is "absolutely bricking it" after her children pointed out all the humiliating encounters previous celebs have gone through on the show - they're departing from tradition.

Channel 5 have confirmed that journalist Rachel Johnson will be a housemate for January's Celebrity Big Brother.

She is the sister of Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and daughter of Stanley Johnson who recently appeared on I'm a Celebrity.

My guess is that she wrote the Daily Mail article without permission but C5 either really wanted her in or are struggling for celebs that they announced her preshow and disguised it as an exclusive reveal as opposed to 'ejecting' her.
