I'm really enjoying this season... Chris's vote off with an idol in his pocket was quite a big moment..

Same as Braden [was that is his name] going when Michael had an idol and almost got people to vote Bradley - that was a good tribal.

IDK, this season had a lot of potential to be decent but it just went into freefall in the last ~3 episodes between the one that was just devoted to everyone finding/winning advantages and then the episode that was literally only Chris vs. Domenick/Wendell. There just really hasn't been any characterization at all and I don't feel like I know these people. Libby was a nobody, Chelsea is a nobody, Jenna is a nobody, Angela actually is a good character but she only shows up every third episode, Kellyn is slightly more visible but she's just a narrator without any personal depth, Desiree is a nobody, Laurel is pretty much a nobody, and wow surprise it's all women who have been ignored to ****! Then you get to the men and like... Sebastian is ~kooky~ and ~wacky~, Donathan is the country boy, Michael is the underdog who also happens to be lying about his age, and then I don't even know how I would describe Domenick or Wendell? Domenick has received an absurd amount of airtime and I feel like he's just spent it all shouting at me about Chris, and Wendell is starting to come into prominence more but it's just about The Game and I don't care about what he has to say at all?

This is my first season and I have really enjoyed every episode especially comparing it to Big Brother USA/ Canada this is miles better so if you're all saying this series is crap then I should probably watch previous seasons.

But really, I couldn't care less if there isn't full character development or even proper characterization for many characters if the ones getting an edit are good... and Domenick & Wendell are serving that role for me perfectly and some of the people I haven't liked served as decent enough villains. Stephanie & Jacob were great in the early pre-merge etc. etc.

The one knock on this season is there aren't a ton of BIG moments going on but as Douglas said there are still a few of those too.

I don't think there's any character development whatsoever? Like Domenick is without a doubt the person who has gotten the most screen time and the only thing I know about him is that he hates Chris. I don't even know what adjectives I would use to describe him. And then with Wendell he like... builds furniture? and has a girlfriend? That's literally all I got and we only have five episodes left.

I am preferring this season to the last 2 seasons that is for sure, but I can see why people might not like it. So many characters are under edited bar a few and its a bit predictable then who goes far and who is going to win. Its obvious either Dom or Wendell are winning this and I mean we are in the final 11.

The last truly enjoyable season was Kaoh Rong (which was over 2 years ago :umm2:)

Although I did enjoy Game Changers for the cast, but the actual season itself was pretty disappointing post-merge.

Also I'm shook @ San Juan Del Sur being almost 4 years ago already! Still feels like such a recent series (probably because all the recent seasons blend into one for me) and one of my all time faves!

I applauded Chelsea's immunity win. It felt like a screw you to the ****ty editing team. And then she gets no ****ing confessional? That's like 3 confessionals in 10 episodes now. Totally insulting to her.

I am also so pissed Des went. Pretty predictable. The Wendell/Dom/Kellyn threesome I'm starting to find insufferable? Not a fan of Laurel since she ruined hte plan.

And what I really wanted from this episode was for Michael to be voted off.

Really terrible episode. It just felt like an IC and 2 tribal councils with about 10 mins of strategy inbetween. Not only that, but the amount of Domenick content / lack of Chelsea(/Angela/Sebastian) content is actually really disgusting? As Macie said, I am SICK of hearing the same thing from Domenick, Kellyn and Wendell over and over again.

The boots are pretty straight forward (malologing) and that does hurt it a bit but like, enough is happening... last episode was a fun chaotic mess.

I only like dom and wendell from those but this season feels like meh? I’m not entertained at all. Stephanie,Jacob,Morgan and Libby going so early is tragic.

I genuinely don't understand the Michael thing at all because his bloated edit amounted to nothing? He went out with such a whimper, he speaks in a pretty monotone voice through all his confessionals, the content has been the same for like six weeks now, and he accomplished nothing in the game! Like he misplayed an idol early on and then correctly played one later. MEANWHILE, pretty much all the women are UTR but because Michael is young and attractive and has a penis he gets a kinda obnoxious CPP edit with an even more obnoxious reception. Like, look at Probst quote that is beyond a parody of itself.

Probst: I can’t remember anybody making this kind of impression on the audience. EVERYBODY likes Michael. I mean everybody. Everybody. He’s a really impressive young man. What he’s going through now can be overwhelming. He was living a somewhat normal life, and then he’s suddenly thrust into a spotlight like Survivor. But I think he’ll be okay. So much of his charm comes from an amazingly healthy sense of self that is not tilted too heavily one way or another.

I would invite him back in a minute, I would align with him in a second. He was a massive threat from very early in the game. I can’t say enough nice things about him. He’s just a very well-rounded and likable guy. And if I was a smarter man, I would hang up the Survivor snuffer and represent him as an agent.
