Soooo, I know many people may not enjoy/be interested in country music (which is basically what this thread is mostly going to consist of), but if you wanna browse/post/listen to new music then feel free to do so.
These songs haven’t necessarily been released in 2017, but just what I have listened to/discovered/enjoyed the most throughout the year.
Hope y'all are ready :pipe:

So first up at #20 is:
Old Dominion – “Hotel Key”
48eDL0mDetU
This is probably one of their most fun songs. On first listen I enjoyed it, but I wasn’t totally into it, but after hearing it some times it really got me. It’s got a great tune, it’s light-hearted and fun and I like the fact that even though it was some casual night, it was good enough for her to keep the key and for him to write a song about it.
At #19 is:
Canaan Smith – “Bronco”
d1SWfgYgbk4
The first time I heard this was at Maddie & Tae’s show (he was the opening act) and I’d never listened to him much before. But he sang some song (which will be revealed later…) that I was totally obsessed with (for good reason) and he also sang this too. He was also pretty, so I was instantly loving him. This song is about his brother who died and it’s super emotional.
At #18 is:
Brett Young – “Memory Won’t Let Me”
q7sDIf99Hjw
This guy is awesome. He has the catchiest songs with good lyrics and meaning and his voice is like heaven. It’s a totally relatable song and it’s easy listening.
DON’T LEAVE YET THERE’S A GIRL NEXT.
At #17 is:
Miranda Lambert – “Tin Man”
JDzzO_slDwQ
(Starts at 0:37) This is the kind of song that…even if you’re not a fan of Miranda you’ll still enjoy this. The lyrics are deep, thoughtful and beautiful. I really love the concept of the song and she’s done some really flawless live performances of it, so emotional (one which I posted).
At #16 is:
Sam Hunt – “Body Like A Back Road”
m8LFyU_FdXU
Sam is controversial because he’s ‘not country’, but whether he is considered to be or not I love his songs and voice (plus he’s gorgeous). The lyrics of this song are pretty cool imo. Good tune, chilled out and easy to listen to.
More to come tomorrow :pipe2:

At #15 is:
Old Dominion – “Be With Me”
iaJPAST4rQc
I adore the concept of this song. It’s powerful yet also has a kind of fun twist. (WHERE ARE YOU LUKE?!)
At #14 is:
Kelsea Ballerini – “Unapologetically”
lLFqK3PUS7w
Simply a beautiful song, lyrics and tune. I couldn’t stop listening to it as soon as I heard it and I knew it was gonna turn out to be one of my favourites. I like the lyrics are so honest and truthful and relatable.
At #13 is:
Miranda Lambert – “Over You”
3Y2icHOgC5U
This is one of my all time favourites. It’s beautiful when you hear it, but when you understand the meaning it becomes even more so. Miranda and Blake Shelton (her ex husband) wrote it together about Blake’s brother who died. They debated about who should record it and Blake decided to let Miranda do it because he didn’t think he could perform it without breaking down (he has got a pretty good cover of it too though).

At #12 is:
Canaan Smith “I Like You That Way”
jrDQ1uAqFnA
This is why I instantly loved Canaan. I mean I liked his voice anyway but when he performed this I was like YAAAAS. “You’re Miranda Lambert crazy and I like you that way”. Anyone who references Miranda in their song automatically has my vote. On top of that it’s a cool, fun song.
At 11 is:
Jana Kramer – “I’ve Done Love”
BtnBgHEGDsU
I totally get this song. The chorus is one of the catchiest ever. I wasn’t sure about it at first but I ended up playing it on repeat after a few listens.
At #10 is:
Brett Young – “In Case You Didn’t Know”
7qaHdHpSjX8
This is Brett’s most famous song and it’s also probably my favourite. Extremely beautiful lyrics and he sings it flawlessly. Very relatable and it’s the kind of song you can listen to if you’re on a midnight walk, laying in bed trying to fall asleep, wherever.
