Like in the other sweeps, you get signed something and then you can support that something to do well or even win. When that something wins, you are the winner also. This time it will be in the form of Winter Olympic Nations at Pyoenchang 2018. The winning requirement is being the number 1 on the medal standings.

Why this being made is because this way you would have an extra insentive to watch the games and possibly root some other country than your own. Cause when that country wins, you win. In a sense.

_______________________

Since there are nations that are overpowered due to amount of athletes, i guess well do the group thing like in the Summer Olympics. Like for example a target participants of 20-30 would mean top 20 to 30 (by medal count) of the last Winter Games as playable/drawable nations in groups of 4 to 5 or so?

We could maybe somehow have an ultimate winner/ranking, where the winner is determined by amount of medals proportial to the amount of athletes that a nation has.

Example:

Meaning a nation of 50 athletes who has won/gained 10 golds, 5 silvers and 5 bronzes from the games would lose to a nation that has 30 athletes and 7 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronzes from the games.

Nation B - 30 athlete nation: G: 23,33% S: 10% B: 10%
Nation A - 50 athlete nation: G: 20% S: 10% B: 10%

Nation B would win and ranked above in this case, cause it has a bigger amount of golds percentage wise than Nation B.

It´s just a sweepstakes and this time housemates and contestants are nations of the world. The nations who do good in Olympics (get medals) have a chance to win a group. The once who does the best overall in terms of proportionally towards the amount of athletes they have are the Super winners.

And no worries, it´s great to have you. Welcome

Welcome to the draw of TIBB Winter Olympics Pyeongchang 2018 Sweepstakes.

What will happen?

20 participants will each be drawn a country out of the top 20 countries in terms of total medal count of the last Winter Olympics. Countries have already been divided to 5 groups of 4 (1-4 is Group A, 5-8 is Group B etc.). There will be 5 minor winners (first place on each group) and there will be one super winner, which is the nation that has the best medal record proportional to their total athlete count.

We´ll start the draw now. Order of draw is the participation order in the OP.

And these are the countries up for grabs:

Group A

1. Olympic Athletes from Russia
2. USA
3. Norway
