I get why India was initially upset but Amanda apologized and seemed genuinely sorry. India was trying to make a big deal out of something minor

This. I do feel sorry for India but her reaction towards Amanda was unjust.

What about everyone else calling her a he multiple times during the conversation after the argument? I felt bad for Amanda and agreed with Rachel when she stated that India was being manipulative.

I think India was way OTT. I felt sorry for Amanda, she apologized it should have been dropped. While I was talking to my son about it, I misnamed him his dad's name. :facepalm: Luckily he has a sense of humour and thought it was hilarious.

See both sides.

It was a mistake on Amanda's part but it must be horrifying on India's part for this to happen

Amanda's. India has a right to not be misgendered, but she was VERY OTT in her reaction. Amanda clearly meant no harm and immediately, then repeatedly apologized.

I think Amanda chuckling afterwards made it worse for Indie. But, I think it was nerves/embarrassment that made Amanda giggle. I do think Indie let it upset her too much but it is a very sensitive issue for her & I think these things fuelled her upset:-
~Ann telling her that the apology should be sufficient;
~In the kitchen while Indie was speaking - several of the housemates verbally stepped in to diffuse the situation - which, when you are emotionally worked up must feel like someone is taking away your voice so must be very frustrating.

Don't get me wrong - I do think she came down too hard on Amanda in the kitchen but as Rachel said - by being referred to as 'him' - it must make Indie feel that she is not being seen/recognised as a woman & after all she has gone through - this must be incredibly upsetting. Hopefully since then, they've had a chance to chat & make up.

I agree with India in the sense that she has every right to be hurt and lash out in the heat of the moment - she's vulnerable, especially only just recently transitioning, and it's happened a lot. Also, Amanda laughed - nervous laughter or not, it's not hard to see why India may have taken it as malicious

What I don't agree with is how she carried it on. The moment passed, she had time to calm down, and Amanda continued on apologising, trying to explain but not excuse herself, and asking for forgiveness... to which it was rejected? If India was honest and said "I appreciate it was a mistake, I'm still hurt by it, thank you for apologising and I accept it, please don't do it again", then I'd be 100% on her side, but India just made an enemy out of someone who's lovely and could've been one of her biggest supporters, for what?

Like when they were alone in the Garden and Amanda tried yet again to apologise and India behaved like a petulant 5 year old and finally ranted at Amandas back about it as Amanda was leaving?

Honestly, the only thing Amanda did wrong was apologise too many times. After the first refusal that would be me saying basically..fine **** you mate.
