Shane entering the house under an artificial facade

Why won't he enter the house as Shane?
I understand he's a drag queen for a living and that's how he's known - but being on BB is all about showing yourself and not playing a character with a stage name. There's a place for it on RuPaul, not so much on BB - there has to be a separation between the two.
Let's say they bring Leigh Francis in - would he enter has Keith Lemon? Of course not, because it's irrelevant to BB.
Would he live in the house under the name and character of Courtney or would it be just a one-off for the entrance?:conf:

He's living as Shane he said so. Going in as Courtney is perfectly okay because it's just him enjoying getting glammed up. I don't see how that means he's 'playing a character'. Just means he enjoys doing that.

I don't know anything about him but my understanding is that it's not a character, it's more like it's a side to him?

It's sort of like Lesley BB6 entering in a nurses outfit :laugh: (bad comparison I know but you know what I mean), but it's just clothes/hair/makeup, and yes name too, but still the same person, so I don't think he'll be playing to a 'character' while he's in there.

He probably does drag 5 times a week at least though with appearances, shows, and their youtube channel. Maybe its just in his second nature to wake up and put a wig on idk.

Idc either way. Nobody can really be a 'character' for days on end, even if hes wearing make up, his personality will be the same.

Lily was more of a character though wasn't she? Whereas Courtney is the same but louder, from what she said in the interview.

I'd never heard of him so I don't know tbh I'm just going by his entrance. I think he does perform as Courtney, I just don't think he views Courtney as a separate 'character', it's more like an outfit and he just exaggerates his personality (although a lot of drag queens do put on a character when they perform and have very different personalities in their real lives)

I think he's still a drag queen it's just that drag queens don't have to be characters, I think you're over thinking it :laugh:

It's just "under an artificial facade" made me think he was entering as his stage persona which I found odd for BB. But if he goes about as "Courtney" in general life and they're one and the same then I suppose it's no different to a lot of what's been on the show in the past.

From what I gather it's just that the 'facade' is to do with his appearance, rather than his personality (although he said he does exaggerate the personality, but he's still essentially the same person - not trying to be someone different). He would actually be classed as a cross dresser as well as a drag queen btw, just to confuse things more :laugh:

Im so glad he entered as Courtney if only to see Indias face !! THIS is what she could have looked like if she had gone private !! its like comparing Bob the builder and Barbie ...... Shane looks amazing as a woman
