View Full Version : Men Obeying Women ??

And before people kick off and start saying "ohh it's BB and that's the rules of the game and it's not to be taken serious and blah blah".
I still find this whole feminism BS annoying and it's being pushed to the extreme, so now for the next week the men have to be given daily house keeping jobs and be the women's servant's and cooks?? :bored: .
While the women lounge about like prima donna's loving every minute of it , because that really sends out a message of "equal rights" does it hell !
If the theme was the other way around for women to serve the men in the house then it would all kick off and BB would be named "sexist" .

I knew i'd get this reaction , and i am chilled out but i'm just saying it all seems a bit OTT and it's contradictory yet again for Feminism .

Ok let's forget the whole battle of the sexes thing and let's be reminded of previous BB'S where they've done silly tasks which are very similar to this where other hm's serve eachother as maids :bored: .
It was even done in the CBB's last January and last summer , and i remember back in BB9 they had a task where one half of the house had to cook for the other side of the house . Repetitive and boring stuff once again  .

Why is feminism bull****? Why is men waiting on women extreme feminism? And why does men doing the chores sit so uncomfortably with you that you describe it as being unequal? Such an opinion is chauvinistic and extreme bull****.

Long overdue in my opinion. Everything suggests women are still doing the lions’ share of the chores - that is what is truly unequal.
It's just to show how men are better at cooking and cleaning than women.

That is sooooo true.. I am sure many have asked partner/husband to help only to be greeted with an eye roll or groan/moan or 'after the game is finished' where we often need to 'remind' them days later we give up asking and just do it ourselves..
Disclaimer: the above comment I made does not apply to all men just some ;) (there are some good ones out there thank god)

I’m a guy and I couldn’t care less lol
It should be interesting
i'm sure the guys will be quite happy to have tasks to do rather than the usual women hogging it

Its a task and I get that but I dont like these kind of tasks especially with the guys only just going in. I would have preferred a bit of normality and the chance to bond / weigh up the guys first. Sure it will only be for a couple of days though or else it will get tedious. I would be pissed off if I was one of the women though as I'm sure cooking and cleaning etc helps pass the time

I understand what you mean although like the idea of seeing who is a team player & who will refuse/grumble can tell a lot about people in that respect :D
And yep without 'pottering' will the loose a marble or two or will we get some juicy chatter?

Well let’s hope cooking and cleaning helps the men pass the time and that they don’t resort to type after the two days and expect the women to do it. I’m not talking the odd one or two but all of them. Everyone should do their bit male or female.

They're all being paid for it. They all knew what to expect... and it's Celebrity Big Brother. It's not a representation of anything except a trivial bit of TV that's quite entertaining. It's not a documentary.

It's a bit of a tired task p, been done to death but generally creates drama, not sure it will this time as the boys will be keen not to be nommed

I cringed a bit at the task, but like Livia said it doesn't represent the theme so much as it represents BB. I'm sure I heard one of the female housemates say something like "this isn't good for us"... they're being played for entertainments sake more than they are being empowered by it.

Those saying women do most of the chores maybe in some relationships but I do pretty much everything around the house leaving my wife to relax after looking after the kids all day. It's more important to me that she gives them time and attention so I do the chores when I get home from work and get to play with the kids before bedtime and all weekend works well for us
So it just seems seems random that if it's all about equality and women being powerful that they aren't allowed to do chores for a week? Crap task

ooh well done you are a rare breed of lovely men :D
I think the 'equality' part is women on the whole do most of the work in real lives (most homes not all) but as this is year of the woman CBB are getting the male HM's to do their share (without women having to ask/remind men for help) :D I am sure after this task things will return to normal :D after all that hard work getting the vote we deserve to pop our feet up a bit ;)

I think the task is no different from other years, one group get waited on and the others do the work.
Just falls that it is male and female groups this series.
As to obeying..:joker:.. surely that went out with the ark.
My husband responds to my requests, not my orders, and likewise the other way around.

Nothing BS about feminism. Every woman who values herself should be a feminist.
Every woman who values herself and believes in equality should be called an Egalitarian if anything, but politics is for a diff day :nono:

And I just hate these types of tasks in general and we've already seen them done in BB history  , I swear BB is more predictable and is running out of ideas.

That sounded so condescending  , this is 21st century ! It's 2018 and I'm pretty sure more men than you think do house chores and look after kids . What about single dad's as well :nono: .
