Secretly taken pictures have revealed this year's Big Brother 8 contestants will be able to swim from the garden into the living room.

The first glimpses of the new Big Brother confines were exposed in sneak snaps shown in a national newspaper today.

The revamped house will also have a secret room, thought to be used to house surprise guests. Design plans of the house show a spiral staircase leading up to the hidden quarters.

A 'caravan of love' for housemates to canoodle in will be a main feature in the garden according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

A spokesman for the show said: 'We do not know how these pictures were obtained. They were taken without permission.'

Producers of the Channel 4 show are still remaining tight-lipped about when the series will begin but the spokeswoman said an announcement will be made on Wednesday.

The house looks like it's gone under the biggest transformation since BB3-4. A few observations:

- If you look at the birds-eye view of the spiral staircase, it looks like the logo! Could this be a sign of a second house?

- The garden looks tiny. I doubt the pool runs into the lounge, but I think there's a room that you can only fet to if you swim there. Sort of like the sung/ loft/ nowhere.

- The blue walls mean nothing. If you look at early BB7 pictures, the whole outside kitchen area has blue walls. It's probably just the type of MDF that they use or something.

- The house looks really angular.

I think its just one segment of the garden. As I said their looks to be a lot of complications and all around twistyness to the house this year. Im guessing its because they can seriously modify it without worrying about next year.

I think those pictures are deceptive in scale. If you look at the round windows they are actually really HUGE. For example look at the ladder in the picture to get a perspective on the scale. I'm not saying the garden'd big but it isn't tiny either. It looks a good size.

In BB7 there was blue in the kitchen and when the series actually came on there was just wood panelling over the blue paint. So it wasnt really taken off, just covered slightly. I think this years house looks really great, and can I just mentioned I seen this window when looking at the pictures earlier...

I HATE the idea of that. The housemates should not be let anyehere near the stairs or the door. It increases claustrophobeia and all that. Also the door will probably just be put in last anyway so its no big deal.

BB3 and BB4 were a bit too big in my opinion. It has to be bigger than the BB7 house that was way too small. Have you seen the BB Australia House - OMG! Way too big lol.

For me BB3 was too big for 12 housemates. BB4's house layout and size was perfect, being 1/3 smaller with the round and warm colours and shapes.

Just came online for the first time today and saw the pics. Absoloutely delighted. We're finally getting places and information about BB8, at long last, these pictures look really genuine and real. The house looks really different from other years and the pool going into an inside area sounds cool. I'm soooo excited now.



One thing is on my mind though, they say builders cant bring cameras or phones into the house when building, how can there be photos? The house looks really awsome and the staircase looks cool too. I wreckon the holes on the wall could be for the housemates, who knows?



With a possibility that the swimming pool will be going indoors from outdoors this year - does this mean that Davina McColl on the Launch Night will have to go swimming as part of the Launch Night Public Tour??!!!

i know that is a sarcastic comment, but yes they are genuine. they were indeed taken a few weeks ago as the house is now more or less complete. let me talk you through them a bit more

- the big picture of the garden, that really is all there is to it, there are no other areas in the garden. the camera person is standing on the back wall. obviously you can't see the back wall but there is a really cool box in there (that's a clue to a secret ;) )

- again from the garden picture, the room behind the pool is the kitchen/dining/living area. there are patio doors separating them. the kitchen is on the right, down the ramp and has a boxy theme to it. the living area is on the left on the nearside and is a very bold pink!

- the opening in the middle of the back wall of the living area is where the stairs are and there are infact 2 doors between the living area and the stairs.

- the diary room is to the right and has a brand new style of entrance which i really, really love.

- the bedroom is on the left as you look at the main picture and leads to the shower room.

- the holes in the wall down the staircase is not for TVs like someone suggested, but are basically lights encased in perspex boxes, again continuing from the theme in the kitchen.

Erm why? The launch is only 18 days to go at the latest. They usually have the guinea pig run about 2 weeks before the launch so that they can make ammendments etc. Also the house is only normally about 70% completed when the have the test run ( i.e. some walls are left unpainted).

wrong. at the moment, the diary room is just an empty room with a camera and a regular chair. i don't know for sure, but i'd guess they won't decorate the room until after the guinea pig runs are over.
