Don't get me wrong, I hope Courtney does because I adore her but I fear she won't get the teenage girl/housewife vote like somebody such as Dapper Laughs/Andrew would.

idk and that's what i'm most afraid of :worry: BUT Courtney is completely different to what that demographic of people think of drag queens so maybe?

I am a teenage girl and he is my favourite and my mum is a housewife and Shane is also her favourite (along with John)

So don't write us all off

I think anyone could win, if we're talking about 'types' of housemates. People wouldn't have thought a gay man could win in 2001, I remember people saying a woman wouldn't win a show like big brother in the run up to BB3, we've had 2 transsexual winners. I don't see why a drag queen couldn't win, especially someone as popular as Courtney.

I would hate to see either of those two win. Courtney/Shane deserves it by far. He is a decent bloke, very fair and mature. He debates without raising his voice and accepts and respects other people's opinions without getting confrontational.
He is great...love him.

...and I'm a housewife and a working mum of 2 young men.

The interesting thing is that this series they all do except India, I don't think anyone other than her has raised their voice. Andrew did when he was angry with her, but that's it I think.

Third or fourth seems a realistic goal at this point in time, I'd say

But the UK public generally don't have good taste like you and mum :(

I guess I'm still scarred by Bear's win.

If anything, I'd say being an American would be more of a detriment to their chances than being a drag artist is.

That's true....Malika has vented off in the bedroom about India, but they have all been very tolerant so far. It won't last...

It's predictable but I think Shane J /Courtney will win .
I want another nice hm to win .

It Andrew gets to the final it's only because he's hung onto the coat tails of Courtney  .

Most people vote for the person they like most, no matter what their gender, age, race or background is.

Courtney could easily win, not because he is a drag queen (though some people will vote for that reason alone) but because he is a likeable person.

He's fun, original, he listens to people and is calm and reasonable in debates.

That's BB winner material.

If someone was in there who was a drag queen but was also an annoying dick then that person would never win.

If Courtney wins, it will be because of who he is as a person.

People from across the board like him.

It's between Courtney and Andrew but I'd say Courtney's way out in front atm.

But there is Shane out of drag as well and he is a really good guy...and plenty of people will vote for an entertaining and upbeat drag queen. :hee:
We are getting 2 for the price of 1 with Shane J/Courtney - and maybe 2 different vote demographics as well.

Even my mum loves him and she is shall we say "a little old fashioned in her views at times" althought she spent her life in light opera swimming in a LBGT sea!

He can win, not a drag queen not a gay man but just a lovely normal polite intelligent bloke and being Australian we all love him as our own

I don't think it's teenage girls that won't vote for him, it's more likely to be the older generation and they are usually the typical casual viewing audience. My mom's favourites are Daniel and Andrew. :spin:

That's kind of rude to generalise like that :nono: I'm not a "housewife" but I'm a mother so presume I'm in that bracket you named and ShaneJ/Courtney is my favourite, he's also my friends favourite (the only person in r/l I know who watches) so pipe down :fist:

Most of my friends and family, all different ages and gender who watch CBB currently like Shane J/Courtney best. I think this is the first time that most of us have the same favourite.

He can win, do take note that the two transexual winners weren't originally from the UK, (Nadia from Portugal, Luke from South Africa).

I adore Courtney, and indeed, Shane. I don't usually vote but I will this time. It's so nice to see someone with such a different lifestyle from the main, be so thoughtful, so mindful of others... She (and he) is lovely.

Oh ffs, I'm speaking in general terms in regards to the teenage girl/housewife votes which means I don't mean EVERYBODY, so nah, I won't "pipe down".

So teenage girls and housewives "in general terms" are so bigoted that they couldn't possibly support a drag queen or? Only men(all men apparantly) and women in their 20's are open minded or?

Why are you harping on about being bigoted? Are you seriously trying to tell me somebody like Andrew won't get a large portion of the housewife vote because they find him attractive?

In general, the housewives and young girls will vote for a lad they find attractive over Shane/Courtney. That's literally all I'm saying :laugh2:

Shane isn't permanently in drag though, so we cant even say he would be the first drag queen winner if he did win. Its just one aspect of him

Jase.
11-01-2018, 02:36 PM
Oh and a staff member telling another member to "pipe down" for simply asking a legitimate question isn't very professional is it?

Why did you leave out women who are neither very young or -I presume by housewife you're implying- older though, how come you left out the girls in between? Just curious is all?

Also, 2 transgenders have won, gay men have won, women have won so it's not like it would be something extraordinary for someone who's a little bit different or not a straight attractive man to win :hee:

But I'm not saying it'd be extraordinary? I'd love Courtney to win but I believe if she was in the final against somebody likeable and good looking like Andrew, she may struggle - that's literally all?

I'm 47 so 'old' in most of your eyes I expect! I adore Shane - what a lovely warm, intelligent, calm and reasonable human being. Love him as Courtney just as much, if not more. Beautiful soul - I REALLY hope he wins and I seriously never expected to be saying that. I presumed he'd be out to cause drama and be loud, but I've loved him from the start.

So yeah course a drag queen can win - just a bloke in a dress with makeup. Seen enough of them on telly now for decades, not really a shocker is it :D

I think he stands a chance yes I don't usually like drag Queens no in a India phobia kind of way just I don't like the over the top in your face sort of thing which is what I thought a drag act was but he is such an interesting clever nice person and one of my favourites

But why would only teenage and older women be the ones who would choose a good looking guy and not women in their 20's or gay guys though?
