It s NOT "her NEW gender" Pollard, it s the same Gender shes always had. She s always had a Female Brain trapped in a male body as most of us have, how many times do thickoes like Pollard need teaching that ?

You should learn a thing or two from Shane J about getting your point across in a way that people may actually listen to you

Semantics. Whatever the science is behind it, it's obvious what Su meant - the gender that India is now visibly and socially living as, as opposed to the one she was before.

Well they would never learn with hostile posts like this.

If the OP wishes the rest of us to feel sympathy for her point of view, I'd suggest a different tone. The word thicko is frequently being applied to anyone who doesn't agree with India and it's not that helpful.

Attitudes like yours' are a detriment to the cause, Claire. You don't teach people compassion and understanding of your situation through insulting them, all that accomplishes is shutting down the conversation completely.

Su Pollard saying that "India's new gender is female" is a bit misguided, because it's not a new gender; India has always felt like she was female, but her internal sense of self didn't match the male body she was born in. All that's "new" is that her body finally matches her mind.

Try something like that.

It's not proven or unproven, but there's too much about the brain we can't understand to be able to say that it isn't true because it hasn't been proven. I think whether you believe it or not would come down to whether or not you think transsexuals are making it up... and with the lengths that people go to due to gender dysphoria I just find that impossible to believe personally.

The OP is someone who has gender dysphoria so I think it's fair that she'd approach a topic like this with the belief that a woman can be born in a mans body and visa versa, she should be able to that without providing evidence.

(And yes she could have worded the post more politely but I can see why it would be such a highly emotional topic for her)

I think there has to be some level of truth in the brain argument, it is after all what makes us think. However, people across the sexes are much to variable in terms of emotional response for things to be cast in terms of female and male when talking about the brain. I don't think there is a simple reason for these things

India talks herself about 'when she was a man'

So by using India's own terms and logic, Su is correct.
