This thread could go awol...but not many people like the name they were given. I don't like either of my names and when I was younger I wanted to be called Jennifer

William

A good, solid name. As is Richard. But I have a slight speech impediment and cannot pronounce R's or Ch's properly. So, yeah.

When I was like 10 I really wanted to be called Crystal for some reason :umm2:

I quite like my name. Would feel weird being anything else. As a boy I would be Taylor though. Love that name..but wouldn't want Taylor for a girl.

I was thinking today I could've had the option to call myself by my middle name... So would be Ann... My real name is Debra, and I don't feel like it's a common name. Ann means Grace, but Debra I could only find means "bee"... Which I'm finding fits my personality quite well as I get older... but yeah Ann seems like a friendly/joyful name... most call me Deb though

idk, probably something #masc and Gaelic like Brendan or Lachlan (even though I have no Gaelic ancestry in me whatsoever)... something not overly popular but still a lot more common than my real birth name, which I don't think I've ever mentioned on here and will likely never speak of again!

I love my name, I think it suits me, I wouldn't change it. Though I love to be called Jess equally as much as Jessica.

Before I was born my mother had planned to call me Michelle but they thought I was going to die and my mother was still asleep because she got knocked out for a cesarean, so my father just pulled my name out of thin air.

Quite a lot of people call me Withano before my real name - I would keep my real name though, mostly cus of the extra faff when you have to go through when you apply for jobs and passports and stuff etc.

I love my name Joseph.
One of my other names is Stephen and I'd equally have liked that.

If I had to choose a new name to re name myself with it would be David or Alexander.
