Missing something?

This years series is just really missing a spark I think, idk why but it doesn’t feel like a CBB (or at least a C5 one anyway) and I can’t get into it? Nobody has struck me as being an ‘amazing’ housemate and there’s no interesting storylines. It’s weird cos it’s a really great cast but it’s just missing something to make it tick for me. Anyone agree?

More diversity in HM ages and less typical reality stars

But it feels more summer CBB than winter CBB, it needs a big storyline or a house divide to liven up

It feels like a C4 CBB to me. I don’t mind them going a bit more high brow and simplistic compared to the messes they’ve done of some series but they need an antagonist. CBB3 had Jackie/John, CBB4 had Pete, CBB5 had the trio and CBB6 had Coolio.

I love how old school it is and I realise BB isn’t all about arguments but I just feel like we need a few arguments soon, a series will only conversations, even if it’s intellectual and interesting etc will become boring for me

I think this is the point which can make or break it as india which originally made this series interesting has left and it can only go up (more airtime for other people) or down. india was the antagonist and now they have lost her so I think the appeal may have gone

This is what’s annoying, I think Ann has potential to become a great HM and the antagonist of the series but there’s nobody for her to go against really without her looking like a bully.

I'm enjoying watching a fun show and I never thought those words would come out my mouth!

Maybe if channel 5 hadn't knocked out 14 CBB's in the last 7 years...think how crazy that is....Fourteen CBB's for crying out load!....then perhaps I would miss the drama of previous years but I don't because it would be the same old **** all over again.

But there is a divide it's men vs women which tbh got stale after week one.

This cast doesn't need any twists infact they won't react to them as we've seen they just need to be left to their own devices and they will eventually get cabin fever.

Jess was annoyed when Andrew interrupted her in tonight's episode. I know it's only little but it'll start to build up. There's still potential for arguments I think, don't write off this series yet.

Bad comparison I know but look at BB18 when Chanelle was evicted a week before the final. I know we still had legendary housemates in there but regardless, everyone thought the final week would be boring with no potential for drama. It turned out to be the best final week there has been imo.

Granted Chanelle did return in a task but never mind oops

I still fail to see what Ann and Kim remotely have in common apart from being outspoken elderly women and if anything they're polar opposites at that.

They both seem completley over everything and take no **** from anyone - they both also seem to be fairly outcast early on during the time in their house and are both fairly feisty women who stand up for what they think

Kim is very charismatic and quick to persecute and vindicate others as being horrible gang-handed cretins. Ann is just some moody fed up woman and it's not like she's not really a big character either. It's the difference between hearing someone call a room of people chinless wonders, and someone who just gives eyerolls and somewhat challenging sentences. Ann is also way more diplomatic and restrained compared to Kim who thankfully wasn't. The 'outcast' thing I don't see at all because it's not like Ann is exactly looked down upon by her housemate, and she's only feisty when part of some sort of debate on something. Kim was completely an outcast based on taking on insider people who were far from as unpopular in the house as she was, and she challenged everything for that to happen. With Ann it's just that she chooses sometimes not to include in things because she's not really carefree or a big personality, unlike Kim who really was.

I love it...but you are right, we need a mix. Whilst the debates etc are interesting but we need more. Give it a couple of days and I think things will start to kick off. Andrew is a complete twat and so is Daniel...now India has gone and the boys are running the house we will see them getting confident and letting their guard down.

It's a shame that C5 just can't seem to make us happy (I know people on here moan that us lot are never happy with the changes) but they literally cannot produce a 'stellar' series and haven't been able to since CBB17.

Like I've said before it's a pretty boring season but I'm starting to feel like it's a slow burner and things will pick up soon. The season is actually growing on me and I actually haven't missed an episode when I thought this might've been a season I'd give up on early. :joker:

Yeah I don't think it's been as captivating for the past few days now (while India was still there btw before someone uses that), I think the showmances are being focused on too much and we're not really seeing anything else of substance.
