Maggie didn't take being nominated well did she? She can't trust Ann now, wtf, noms are part of the game. Plus at least Ann is up front about it and doesn't run around behind your backs like Malika and Rachel.

I think it was more the reason than the actual nomination tbf. She did say it was just a game and seemed understanding about that, she just didn't like being labelled mean (or whatever the wording was Ann used I can't remember)

I was a bit surprised at her reaction and the retort she made if I am honest. I do think it was a lame enough reason to nominate her however but Ann was entitled to pick who she wanted I guess

She's another one of those people who think they have a divine right not to be nommed by anyone. And that they should be left in peace to coast to the end doing nothing.

I don't get why she can't trust Ann now? Why? Ann gave her reason and did it to her face.
They say, say it to my face and can't take it when they do.

To be fair...it was a pretty weak reason. However Ann clearly said it would have been Ashley but she was immune. Out of those left she obviously gets on with the others better...
Maggie is a bit out of her depth in there...she seems lovely but she doesn't offer much.

Yeah, can't trust her?
Ann spoke honestly, nothing hidden.
Plus - nominations are part of the game! - people forget that. You got to pick someone, and it's not easy on any of them, especially when they all get on ok
Shame Ann never picked Malika now, after all Malika's sneaky back-room sniping tonight

Why should BB even bother with Friday eviction. We all know Maggie & John don't have a cat in hells chance of staying :idc: such a ashame .
Might as well let them leave now it's not going to be a fair vote :bored: , Ann & Andrew will be way ahead in votes .

Maggie Oliver has gained celebrity status because of her involvement in the Rochdale sex grooming scandal and her subsequent resignation due to her feeling the police force failed the girls. By Anne nominating her in the way that she did, and for the reason she gave,
would have wounded and hurt Maggie when her whole being and reputation is based on having very high morals and a caring nature.

Very good point.
Surely everyone except Ann laughed at the men "in labour", so why pick on Maggie? Just didn't make sense at all.

I'm well aware of Maggie's background. Perhaps CBB isn't the best show for her to be on to keep her integrity then?
We are discussing her as a housemate, and in that sense she is invisible and not making a massive contribution to the house. She also didn't take the nomination well and no housemates has a divine right not to be nominated.

LOL Maggie should have brought Ann her nighttime biccies more often ;)
It is a shame that people like Maggie, amanda & john are being lost in house for being 'normal' and quiet lol
I do think Ann should have opted for one of the people she has been complaining about though... or is it her chosen subject Ashley is immune? lol

Ann has her own moral code and like it or not she does stick to it. Yes she is probably being a bit heavy handed over the show inflicting pain on the boys and other housemates enjoying it but then again if you think about, Ann's view on it is far kinder.

Indeed I like some of what she says although a lot of her views are in need of an update lol

I don't understand though why Ann chose to nominate Maggie for that reason, when it was mainly Jess who pissed her off with the laughing bit?

Ikr? The reason that she laughed at someone in pain was a horrible thing to say, during a task that was meant to be funny, the men were all laughing as well

I have never seen Ann and Maggie interact, so its likely she just doesn't gel with her, just glad she didn't pick Malika or G as the "she's racist" threads would flood the forum, Maggie has contributed zilch, she doesn't even make DR cut

I have no idea why Maggie is being painted as the bad guy either.
Ann's reason was utter BS. Maggie actually took it well in my opinion and I would have been really annoyed had Ann used the same reason towards me

Well it's making her out to be cruel and someone who enjoys watching people suffer, which considering her back story is so far off the truth

So what if that's how she see's it? That doesn't mean that Maggie can't be upset about being called cruel, does it?

it could have been worse too .... Ann probably thought she was letting her off lightly

Well that's not really how it was said. She didn't say oh you are cruel. She said she didn't like the inflicting pain and in her view laughing at it was cruel or unkind (I can't recall the exact word she used). It's not actually an unreasonable point of view if you think about it. I don't necessarily agree but I can see where she is coming from. I think Maggie is one of those people who would coast along in the house and I think she was more put out in being nommed than about Ann's reason.
Actually having seen the clip again Ann didn't say cruel or unkind. She just said she thought laughing at the inflicting pain task was unkind and she was nominating Maggie for laughing.

Maybe Ann in her own awkward way was trying to be kind to Maggie and didn't want to say "you're so boring"?
