One thing I know is that Ann cared deeply for the constituents that she represented for a very long time, its completely wrong to suggest she has done nothing for anyone. You can disagree with her opinions or her politics, but please don't suggest she is not a caring person because its simply not true.

If we put it in perspective, Maggie spoke up on 1 single issue, Ann had her voice heard on hundreds. That's not diminishing Maggie's achievement, but Ann was a loyal public servant for decades

...but then with others who had also laughed, she would have also been ‘singling out’ them, Vanessa...and as much as I’m sad to see Maggie go...I do think Ann felt she was being fair in nominating for an action she personally felt upset by...and maybe having recalled Maggie’s laughter particularly or it being more noticible if she felt it more unexpected to find amusement in the task...?...Maggie took it and felt it more on a personal level because she was relating it to her general character but for Ann, it was just that simple, isolated incident and what she felt was fair...

That is so unfair,even Ryland said that Ann was not there to defend herself,maggie dropped in my estimation for even mentioning such a sensitive subject,it was a low blow,and I do ike Maggie,we do not know what happened only what Maggie has said and I would wager she is a tad bitter against Ann now,there is a BIG difference between Anns daft nomination than Maggie trying to make out Ann could have stopped Rochdale !!! and besmirch her reputation as an MP,bit nasty of Maggie that.
