Yes. Even though C5 have made a mess of the show in terms of editing and production, they have produced some good series and it will always remain my favourite TV show :(
The middle option represents how I feel the most accurately

IDC I've just watched it out of habit really the past couple of years, the past two series I haven't bothered with at all and I don't miss it.

sort of because it'll be weird without it after having it for so long but at the end of the day the show is tired and C5 don't have a clue what to do with it

Very bittersweet. I will definitely miss having it there but recently I think it became unenjoyable to watch. While Endemol have produced some great series, having three a year was overkill and recently it's been clear that C5 aren't that bothered by it.

So while I think it needs to be put out of its misery, I can't help but feel sorry for the fans who stuck with it for so long (can I also just mention how amazing it is that Emma- who absolutely didn't need this show- stuck around until the end and did her absolute best to make it a great show while it lasted).

I think it shows how bad the show has gotten over the past year and a half when barely anyone on here is not that upset about it. we will miss it when it’s gone but I really do think it’s for the best and if it means we might get a UBB 2 with some REAL all stars then I would gladly let it go for good

yes, it's sad that it's ending. I grew up with this show.

Honestly, I'd say BB actually taught me a lot things like to be more open-minded. I watched so many different people from all walks of life on this show and growing up watching it, it really opened my eyes. Maybe that's just me though lol.

I'm not sad, but I'm really pissed off and disgusted as I feel that the vile, selfish scumbag of a human being that is Bent Frown (Yes, that's what I like to call that twat) decided to alienate, disrespect and let down one of C5's biggest audiences (BB/CBB fans) by selfishly saying a few months ago "I would be much happier with a channel without BB", which resulted in him getting plenty of hate from BB superfans. Well I'm sorry Bent, it shouldn't be all about YOU and what YOU want. He should respect C5's viewers and realise that most people who watch C5 mainly tune in to watch BB/CBB!!!

I hope that Bent Frown will live to regret this once the ratings for his other shows barely manage to reach a million viewers and there will be nothing to watch on his channel apart from ****ty shows like:
-Tedious, waste-of-time benefits documentaries
-The stupid Love Island ripoff show Make or Break or whatever its called that managed to get only 500k in ratings
-In Therapy With [insert washed-up celeb name here]
-That Can't Pay We'll Take It Away rubbish
-Botched-up Bodies and all those other pathetic shows about plastic surgery disasters
-Not So Sweet 16, GPs Behind Closed Doors and other pointless documentaries
-Too bloody many US import shows

C5 without BB/CBB = Slow & Painful death of C5

So, in a nutshell, this is how I feel:

Yeah. I mean, I get it, there’s nothing worse than a show that refuses to die and the show has been on it’s knees for quite some time now but I still absolutely adore it and am always so excited in the run up to a new series.

Hard question to answer as I have been watching BB since day 1 it has become a yearly way of life for 20 years! however. in recent years chosen HMs to take part in series have been horrendous and over time the lack of life feed, complaints and so many other things have been it's demise

I will truly miss the show if we could time warp back to BB C4 I would watch old BB reruns of shows till the end of time

..it may go but it will never be forgotten

The way the civilian series is being promoted makes me thing they might be going back to the original format, Marcus said something along the lines of its back to social interaction so they might give the purists what they want as a last hurrah :flutter:

If it goes, I’ll be sad but also I believe c5 shouldn’t have this show considering what they’ve done to it

That’s if it goes tho I’m still very skeptical

Yeah, if it's like the current CBB then I think so. Its exactly what people who have been fans since day 1 want

Perhaps but it’s extremely unlikely because they have love Island now

I'm really guttted. It's something I e loved since I was little so to not have it on every year will be so sad. And I always wanted to be old enough to at least apply which I may not experience. It's not confirmed yet so I still have some hope, and I will still hope than another channel can pick it up and rebrand preferrably C4 or NETFLIX).

And you know what they say, it's not over until Gemma Collins sings.

As much as I've enjoyed this series and would like the show to keep going I can't say I'd be too disappointed about losing it. I'm probably somewhere in the middle.

Tbh I'd be sadder about the forum dying (not that it definitely would but I reckon it's likely).

If they axe it THIS year than maybe channel 4 might be the one to acknowledge it’s 20th somehow!

Of course I am.

Because I still believe it to be a good project.
When allowed to progress naturally each series as if we were really just looking in on a house filled with people of mixed backgrounds.

Set tasks are fine with the noms process and then the public ruling over who stays and who goes.

What spoils things is whoever produces it,allowing it to become near staged, then for said production team to manipulate noms and evictions.

It is still a good idea,it's sad if it's to end,I hope some other channel may look at taking it on.

Even with still around a million viewers, that's a fair base still to build on in the right way.
If it goes from channel 5,then that leaves a big hole for them I would say to fill.

CBB is always worth a watch.

Last year's civilian was one of the worst ever.

But overall - BB is still the best show on TV. Pure people-watching pleasure. Nothing comes close.

Other shows like Love Island or Celebrity get me out of here have too much interference from presenters and production: BB just sticks 18 people in a house 24/7 and leaves it at that. It's pure.

BUT changes need to be made in order to keep it alive and CH5 have done a sh4t job. Especially with civilian. Last year's was awful.

So what can be done?

Basically have more intelligent people in there. That#s what is so fresh about this year's CBB. Yes it may be slower and not have the thrill of major rows but a slow burning show full of natural, human moments is what makes the show.

Other high-octane, reality shows all seem so contrived and shallow next to BB

If it goes - it will be a really sad loss.

Is this official or wishful thinking from OP?

Eh, I'm a bit ambivalent at the moment. Maybe if and when it's official I'll feel differently, but when I woke up to the news of the first axe in 2009 I was devastated. Not so today.

If anything I'll be more sad about the fact C5 didn't allow it to at least reach its 20th series...little things like that kind annoy me, but then that it just typical of their appalling channel so. If it is axed again I don't even expect there to be a proper goodbye either (like another UBB), if the contract isn't being negotiated until the autumn (as some of the articles have implied) then it might end up being a case of 'oh yeah the last series was the last sorry bye the house is being demolished tomorrow'

Whenever it's axed again I think it'll sink in more the following year, we never ended up having a calendar year off after it finished on C4. It's just become so routine now that it'll be weird to finally not have it on.
