We often see housemates nominated for snoring, think it was one of the reasons for Wayne last night, but is it fair to nominate someone for something that they can't really help doing and is an unconscious act? It'd be like nominating someone for sneezing. It's a bit of a cop out for the person nominating as well and let's them off the hook

No its not and according to G he was constantly washing up so Andrew's nomination of him not doing the washing was invalid as well

Andrew also said he did not cook.
He mentioned the washing up as well as it was played to G during his interview and he commented on it

Yes.
It’s a valid enough reason for hubby and I to have separate bedrooms so it’s valid for noms.

Ear plugs. It's the way forward... I can't stand any noise when I'm trying to sleep.

...I guess the validity comes from the affects of the snoring, which would be sleep disturbance and then general stress because of that deprivation, so I can see how it becomes ‘valid’ to a housemate even though it isn’t something someone can help doin very easily...then it’s up to BB to decide whether they’ll accept it or say, no....I can’t recall actually on any previous ones...if BB have rejected a nomination reason..has anyone ever then changed the person who they were going to nominate and choose someone else using a different reason...or have they always just still stuck with the same but had to think another reason...I think most have just said something else to still nominate that same person, which I guess would have happened here with this one as well...most probably...
No why?Have a guess who was on the panel. Go on have a guess. go on, go on, go on, go on

It would drive me crazy sleeping in a room where someone snored loudly.
However no,in my view it's not a valid reason to nominate anyone to be up for eviction.

I think a poem can be done on snoring :conf: omg is it a reason for nominating ? do you no how vital sleep is ? and when you can not it plays with the mind.
great for the bb viewers but not so great for the house mates.

yes because one time i was visiting my uncle's house for a week and we had to share the guest room with my other uncle who was also visiting and his snoring was RIDICULOUS so i think that can drive someone up the wall in the BB house

No. It may be a real problem for a them. Its not a medical condition per se but sometimes people cant help their snoring.

I want to say no, but if I was in there and already sleep deprived and someone was sat doing elephant impressions all night I would be pretty pissed off and might nominate them for it. yes, they cannot help it but its still ****ing annoying.
I am fairly sure I would be nominated for sleep talking too. Something I cannot help either but I understand is annoying to anyone sleeping near me

"He snores" isnt
"I'm kept up, or I'm woken up in the middle of the night, and I start the day all grouchy etc, because he snores" is

Yeah, sleep deprivation would be a big deal in there I think, and if you don't really have any major problems with anyone anyway you'd just look for any reason.

Tbf, you're supposed to nominate people based on who irritates you so much you want them to leave so snoring is fair enough tbh.

People who sneeze loudly irritate me so I'd probably nominate someone for that as well, to be fair.

Yeah but I always think nominations should be based on an aspect of someone's personality or behaviour that they don't like - things that housemates have deliberately done and can be held responsible for. It doesn't really seem fair to me that you can be nominated for something that you have no control over

Tbf they can't exactly say that's not a valid reason because... *and list all the times he's washed up* it's Andrew's opinion that he doesn't do it - he might not have seen him do it. (as much as the others) And at the end of the day, nominations are about personal preferences and opinions.
