From Sky News

Paris Hilton has had her 45-day jail sentence cut in half for good behaviour.
The hotel heiress was handed the prison term for violating her probation for a traffic offence by driving without a valid licence.

Hilton flouted a driving banHowever, she will now only have to serve about 23 days.

She will also be kept separate from the general prisoner population at the Century Regional Detention Centre in Lynwood, California.

Officials considered several factors before cutting the sentence, including the fact Hilton turned up in person for her latest court date.

She will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates.

Like everyone else in the 2,200-capacity jail, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or make phone calls.

I could understand her sentence being reduced once she was inside BUT that hasnt happened

The Hiltons have tremendous influence. I'm not all that surprised. They probably greased some palms.

That now means that some people have got their wish. And, to think, all that crazy talk about how she was going to get killed in there. She probably won't even serve a full week.

~Kizwiz~
17-05-2007, 12:24 PM
And being in a specialist section which is reserved for celebrities, public officials, police officers and other high-profile inmates will be as easy as a walk in the park.... hardly doing time.

It makes me so mad that people who are famous get special treatment.

people are going to hate her more now,if she did the 45 days without complaining,i reckon she could have earned a smidgen of respect.now shes just some spoilt brat that proved money is more important than justice.

I 100% agree with you...... if she did her time without problem or causing a scene I, and I am no Paris fan, would have gained respect for her.

But having her sentence cut even before entering jail is a joke! :bored:

i agree too. She may as well do a bit of community service but no doubt some will think even that is too much for her.

She most probably won't even end up going.

I agree with both of you..... she wont do her time, she will get off and the little princess will get away with it

YEY! :spin: I'm guessing I'm the only one who's happy then..

She's still serving time, so why all the negativity?

~Kizwiz~

Because normally you have your sentance cut while in jail, for good behaviour, not cuasing problems etc....but to do this even before she has gone in is a joke really

Does that really matter though? She's going to jail and serving her 23 days. I thought you lot would be happy that she's actually going to prison, and not being let off.

Ruth

Um...well yes it does matter. I cannot believe that people think she should be allowed to get away with her crime, and think that it's good that she is being given time off for good behaviour, when she has not even gone into prison yet, and she certainly hasn't displayed much good behaviour while being outside.

I just can't believe that people are actually taken in by the big PR machine surrounding their beloved Paris.

What a joke! 40 days waswnt long enough in the first place, now only 23 daysw, if that.

Iam happy that she has been punished but not by what she should have been.

I just cant beleive that its been cut before she stepped foot in the place.

I undertstand your point of view sophie but its a bit of a joke really

To be honest, I am a bit surprised - I expected her to go through with the 45 days.

Yeah, I agree that had she done her 45 days, her chances of gaining some respect would be a lot higher.

That’s a stupid thing to say. I happen to have views on the matter – I’ve not even spoken to her until just earlier when she was online. And she’s not even online now; otherwise I’m sure she’d be defending herself! Anyway, I’d appreciate it if you noticed it’s not her behaviour I’m defending, it’s yours I’m challenging. I’ve never had a problem with you personally, but what I do know is you like ‘winding people up’, you enjoy getting to people – you said it yourself! Some people handle it better than others.

You can’t expect to provoke people and not get some responses like you have done. And whilst it doesn’t bother me personally, surely the good thing to do is face the fact that yes you have been winding people up, rather than playing the innocent act and act as if you’ve done nothing. I’ve never felt the need to raise this before, but half the posts I’ve read of yours are ‘blah, blah, blah… That’s all.’ As if you’ve done nothing! Seeing as the other thread has been locked I'll respond to this here.

I do like winding people up. I make no apology for that and never will. But to imply that I’ve provoked Sophie into her sweary behaviour is bang out of order. Sophie has taken this way to far to the point where it’s now a very serious issue. I post what I post because - for the hundredth time – this is a free forum and I’m allowed to do that. I will continue to do what I do because I’m not breaking any rules.

Within all the posts that you’ve written in defence of your friend, you seem to be implying something like – I agree that Sophie is a silly little girl but for you to treat her like one is appalling. No wonder she react the way she does - You admit that she has a lack of self control and is immature but you seem to be blaming us for her behaviour. If I’m wrong tell me I’m wrong but from the posts you’ve written you seem to say we should treat her carefully because she’s got a temper, is immature and cannot express herself. No way. She needs to control herself it’s as simple as that.

I don’t understand what you mean in your final sentence, can you please elaborate. ‘blah, blah, blah…That’s all’. I don’t get it.

Right, I saw this offline, and I had to un-ignore you to respond.

I NEVER used to be like this before you and him came, you both know how to wind me up, and you do it well so congrats. About the anger issues I'm sorting them out. Stop having a go at Ash. What she's been saying is 100% true, just because you can't face the truth your blanking everything. And as for saying that I've let this go on and 'taken it too far', that is just not true. After receiving all of my warnings all Iv'e wanted to do is get back to normal, like I used to.. but for some reason you and him have stirred things up again (you with that stupid thread about me and him with yesterday's comments) you just can't let go can you? And what on earth makes you think that you can go around winding people up for the sake of it? I'm suprised that you have no warnings because you've stirred up most of the trouble and arguments around here recently.

And maybe you should control yourself and stop trying to wind me up every single second of the day. Your older and I'm younger, therefore you think that your opinion is right, and mine is wrong..

I'm sick to death of having to explain myself and my opinions to you. ACCEPT THAT WE THINK DIFFERENTLY!

Please keep this thread on topic. It's getting way too personal.

It's for discussing Paris Hilton, NOT other Forum members.

Ta.

I'm sick to death of having to explain myself and my opinions to you. ACCEPT THAT WE THINK DIFFERENTLY! You’re saying I provoked you are you? Are you trippin? There is no way you can justify that argument. If you cannot control yourself then that is an issue you need to deal with. How can you blame me for your lack of self control? I’ve heard convicted criminals use the same argument to justify their crimes. It’s not good enough and it will never be.

Once again you’ve brought age into it. If I do that then all hell breaks loose. What are you saying exactly? Spell it out for me. To me it looks like your saying - it's OK to behave like a silly little girl but when you treat me like one you're out of order.

You say I can’t let it go. Do I come across as the kind of person who would accept that behaviour? I’m pretty sure I don’t. You started swearing at me for no reason. What am I supposed to do in response? Are you saying that I should simply take it? Never in a million years. You can apologise if you want. If you do then I guarantee you that you’ll get no more hassle from me.
