I just don't get how people think it's ok to be this harsh yet they hate certain HMs for their harsh ways

Good luck to them...however I hate public proposals...just come across as tacky. It's a VERY special moment between two people...but heyho.

Emma knew of this in advance otherwise why would she have invited Daniels girlfriend to join them on the settee - sounds like a set up between Daniel, Emma and the producers. But good luck to them.

Or just Daniel and Emma before the interview

Even if Emma knew, what's the problem?! Are you going to shout "fix! fix! fix!" on a wedding proposal?! People coordinate these things sometimes...

I presumed she was already his wife given the fact that she's had his baby. Silly me.

Yes, birthing a baby automatically ties you into marriage. Obviously.

I'm sorry is this the 1950s where having a baby before marriage was taboo? Lol

Daniel came accross really well and his fiancé looked over the moon.

I'm not a fan of public proposals, but this seemed really heartfelt, genuine and sincere to me. Good on Daniel.

Pathetic and embarrassing. It was on a par with Mike Boogie's desperate effort.

...I thought it was lovely and very touching.....mind you, I’m not sure she actually said yes, I didn’t hear that anyway...and whether her tears were of emotion and happiness or whether it was more...oh no, how am I going to let you down because I don’t want to marry you Daniel..what a pickle now you’ve gone and done it in front of everyone....ooops...

I felt a bit embarrassed watching it. It’s possible that he thought this might temper public opinion and like him a bit more. Why weren’t we shown the part where G made the ring? The more I think of it the more (predictable ) stunt it becomes. If I am right it’s a shame for his long suffering girlfriend. Maybe (if he meant it) he should have done it in private. I wish them both luck but somehow, I am not convinced...

Was the final stage in his plan to lose his old image. I found it cheesy tbh, I see I am in the minority though

He 100% milked the moment, of course he did

But even so, there was genuine love and emotion there and i did get a little choked up for them, i won't lie

 indeed.

I had both my kids before I got married. Had my daughter 5 years back, son 3 years ago and got married 2 years ago come March

Didn't realise anyone still thought that marriage was necessary to have kids tbh. I only got married to shut everyone up. Was sick of people asking when we would be getting married (had been together 5 years before having daughter). I think marriage is just a piece of paper and an expensive party tbh, but our parents wanted it, he wanted it, friends were pissing me off..so meh. No skin off my nose :joker:
