Yeah I don't either. I barely even use any makeup or stuff so mines probably useless too but she said it was numbers of people completing that was important really, not the answers. No idea what kind of essay or whatever can be made of this..so glad I am not at uni/college

Which products still use animal testing :suspect: seems super old fashioned.

Seemingly a few. She was talking to me about this a few weeks back and said people would be surprised by how many do still use it. Don't remember which ones she said did though I guess thats maybe what this is about, so she can point out how many people do not know it still happens or something? IDK
OK she says please do not fill it in if under 18 as she can be disqualified so its best to be hoenst. Don't know how they would know that it was false though, but I guess its up to her
Vicky.

OK. Don't read this if you have not done the survey as its cheating
I asked her about what withano said, as I was also under the impression that no companies tested on animals these days and she says
That's the whole point of it because the companies are so clever with how they word things most people think it doesn't happen now but basically if they sell the products in China they legally have to test on animals. The only ones that don't are Barry M, Kat Von D, lush and body shop
I assume she means the only ones from her list that don't are those 4..rather than the only ones that don't fullstop. But apparently its still widespread
So yeah. I definitely learnt something today

Thats mental, I literally thought that none of them (the main ones anyway) would test on animals, how grim
Well I'm guessing the results wouldn't be as good if under 18, just because a lot of people maybe don't buy their own products (or work)... if it's not your own money, of course you wouldn't really be impacted much by the lifestyle modification.. but it if's your own money, you may not be either be able or willing to make the change.
I didn't start wearing make up until my late 20's, but I didn't drive either... no joke, but a big reason for not owning the car was environmental impact, and well makeup just because I didn't I really needed it for the jobs I was working... until I moved back to TX and decided to start my own business and here most professional women here wear make up of some kind and dress very classy. Anyway, it didn't really feel necessary until then... most of my beauty $$$ goes into hair products (salon), facial cleansers, bath salts, lotions, vitamin supplements, etc..

Being a vegan I believe I've had my homework done before (and as a man I rarely deal with it, but it's always good to know) The only product that I buy is this hair product from Lush which is vegan and cruelty free (and their package recycling policy is another big plus).
Buy only cruelty-free products - it's not worth it
Vicky.

I would buy only cruelty free products, if I knew. I genuinely did think that none of them did it D:
Also I am surprised for some reason, that you are a man. Always read you as female

Another "nice" fact - when a company wants to sell their product in China, they're committed to test their product on animals. Some companies that were cruelty-free received a backlash for deciding to enter the Chinese market.

Oh, this culture is alive and running unfortunately. I would always check before/at the shop (a quick googling and you get the answer).
And lol  You're not the only one thinking that. That's OK
Vicky.

Yeah thats what she said to me. Any product that is sold in china must be tested on animals. You would think the major companies would simply..not sell in china. Though I guess money is more important to them than ethics :S

Only makeup I buy is whichever eyeliner is cheapest in the shop. can usually get them for a quid.
Besides this, I use alberto balsam shampoo and conditioner. And loreal kids shampoo for Skye and James. Or Avon.
