in Christianity any form of meditation is focused on Christ. The form of meditation they were trying to get them to do has nothing to do with Christ, obviously.

I'd just find it boring tbf but the "religious grounds" was just nonsense since they're just different branches of ~spirituality~
fun sponge even with things that might actually help her relax for ****ing once

"Overstressed Americans are increasingly turning to various forms of Eastern meditation, particularly yoga, in search of relaxation and spirituality. Underlying these meditative practices, however, is a worldview in conflict with biblical spirituality—though many Christians are (unwisely) practicing yoga.
Many Eastern religions teach that the source of salvation is found within, and that the fundamental human problem is not sin against a holy God but ignorance of our true condition. These worldviews advocate meditation and "higher forms of consciousness" as a way to discover a secret inner divinity.
Yoga, deeply rooted in Hinduism, essentially means to be "yoked" with the divine. Yogic postures, breathing, and chanting were originally designed not to bring better physical health and well-being (Western marketing to the contrary), but a sense of oneness with Brahman—the Hindu word for the absolute being that pervades all things. This is pantheism (all is divine), not Christianity."

Why is everyone just attacking Ann? Shane L also refused to do it for pretty much the same reasons, yet no-one says anything about him.

I just feel like she has a 'how can I be difficult' take on life.

Me too....I don't see why you have to give a reason anyway. It's not everyone's cup of tea.

She has missed out on a lot of fun in life, but that is her perogative, I actually admire her for sticking to her beliefs.
She has had just as full and probably happy life in her own way as the rest of us have in ours.

I don’t think she wanted to do it, not sure by Shane L’s explanation was more valid than Ann’s

I think Shane L confused it with hypnotherapy

I see that the rights of the LGBT community is quite rightly protected by a host of people on here... while faith is still fair game. People of faith have the same right in law to practice their religion in this country as gay people have to love and marry who they choose.

She may have her own idea of fun. She took part in the task with gusto, she went on Strictly, she has a good laugh at times.
Malika looks far more miserable than Ann.

Notice how both Shane L & Ann stated they were sitting out due to religious reasons , yet Shane J ran back to his mean girl partner Malika and bitched about Ann being the ONLY ONE to refuse :oh: that actually got me mad !!! . Even Ashley said "Shane L is not doing it either because of his religion" .
Yet Shane J quickly dismissed that , and preferred to slag Ann off . It's so ridiculous the hate he has for Ann :bored: .
And Ann & Shane L aren't obligated to take part . And that meditation session looked daft and they prefer to pray and have quiet time instead of an instructor telling them to "breath in and out" as they get into silly yoga positions which like you said Ann probably wont be able to .
