Found on the sun website:

BIG Brother beauty Davina McCall will be hosting a new Sunday night programme for the eighth series of the reality show, TV Biz can reveal.

Davina, 39, will front an hour-long show called Big Brother On The Couch — which sees psychologists analysing contestants’ behaviour.

The show will replace the Saturday night update when Big Brother 8 kicks off on May 30. It will be followed by an hour-long BB update covering the Friday night eviction.

Channel 4 chiefs axed the Saturday night show as it fares badly against BBC1 and ITV in the entertainment ratings war.

Davina’s new show will be an in-depth look at the week’s news from the Big Brother house as she discusses events with the psychology experts.

A show insider said: “Big Brother fans will love it — it’s the perfect night in.

“On the couch will be a round-up of what’s happening in the house and Davina’s take on the week. She’ll be joined by names from the world of psychology to help work out the housemates’ behaviour.”

Meanwhile, we can reveal that gobby Big Brother’s Big Mouth presenter Russell Brand will not be permanently replaced.

Guest stars will fill the shoes of the 31-year-old host — mirroring shows like BBC1’s Have I Got News For You.

I'm not against Davina getting her own spinoff. But axing the Saturday night updates?

Oh hang on - I thought Big Brain was axed?

They could have just changed the host of Big Brain, I mean they didn't have to "axe" it for a show that's exactly the same!

Finally she's on her way to earning the £500,000 that she gets per week.

I prefer this. I prefer Davina as a presenter anyway. I think her own spin-off would be cool. And i would think, Friday's and Saturday's highlights will be shown on the Sunday show. We wont miss anything...

Sound interesting. Though I like seing the Saturday night update show I think its wrong they have taken that away. I hope they dont show these shows too late on the Sunday nights as I have work the next day.

Doubtful, they will probably do 30 mins per day, like they used to do on the Monday Show when the Saturday night live task used to be on...

Axing the saturday show was a good move, it never pulls good ratings. I'll miss the first show of this  .

They better have some sort of Saurday show. I want the Saturday night live tasks back!! With the HL show axed, it might happen.

This is so cool. Axing the HL show for Saturday means that there might be bringing back the Live Tasks (yay)

Over at Applause Store, the company that distributes the tickets for Big Brother and all spin-off shows, has listed BB: On the Couch... They give the following description...

"You are invited to join Davina Macall as she hosts her fantastic new Big Brother show, which takes a look back at the key events of the week, and talks to psycologists and experts about how life in the most watched house in Britain is affecting its residents.

Does the Housemates' body language match up with what their saying and doing? Who is the alpha male in the house? And who's the biggest narcissist? All these questions and more, will be answered by some of the best Psych experts in the land.

Brutally honest and delving in to the inner sanctums of the institution that is Big Brother, make sure YOU BOOK YOUR TICKETS RIGHT NOW and broaden your mind. You never know, you might learn something!"

I like the fact of Davina having her own show, Davina is great, she's great to watch, don't really like the idea of having a different presenter for BBBM every week though...

This is good, not only for viewers who have big and busy lives, but also for C4's ratings revenue. Saturday brings in the worst ratings, dragging the average down.

Also, the whole point of the Sunday show is for the highlights from Friday and Saturday. If anyone watched BB1, BB2, BB3 and BB4, you might know.
