For once I agree with him. Jess didn't look like she had a phobia to me.

It didn't look like bravery either as Ann suggested.

Looked to me that Jess wrote down the first thing that came into her mind.

She might as well written, 'phobia to newspaper.'

I doubt she'd manage to sit in the bath, never mind run her hands through them so enthusiastically. IF she had the alleged phobia.

Anyone remember Amira Khan's phobia to snakes. Now that was genuine.

I have to agree...it wasn't as much a phobia as a matter of just not liking them. Had it been a real phobia there's no way she could have touched them let alone do what she did with a just a look of disgust on her face.

She should have just looked at the cameras and told big brother she was just kidding...

You know how a lot of people are scared of cotton balls
Drag queens do that for me

I think she means she just dislikes them . But who knows , there's some weird phobias .

Some people think Amir exaggerated his fear of snakes, but loads of people are scared of snakes.

Phobia and fear have melded into one these days.
Was a time phobia actually meant real fear of, nowadays it’s associated with hate of or intolerance of.

Yes, I have a total phobia of snakes and would faint if I even come into contact with one.

I don't like touching velvet, it isn't a phobia the same as snakes but still is very unpleasant.

Jess didn't even look as if Jess was fighting the anxiety a phobia makes a sufferer feel.

She didn't even try to hide the fact she doesn't have this phobia.

Well if you dont like Jess anyway that is possibly what you would say in all fairness. I didnt think it was possible to have a phobia of cotton wool but then a woman in the audience in BOTS last night said she had it. HOW ON EARTH could Jess think up cotton wool if she DIDNT have a phobia of it. Whether she does or doesnt she has been brilliant at all the tasks and true to herself since day one and a very very deserving finalist. By the way I have a friend who has a phobia of BUTTERFLIES and nobody believes her ever

I angry with Shane on this. Andrew was saying the same thing on Bots. If you have a phobia about cotton, would you get in a bath full of them?

I think she was faking it. In fact she is coming across as a total fake to me. The usual tactic by many female HMs. Look and act dumb; talk rubbish; be nice and stay under the radar until the end. I'm not taken in by her. She's one shrewd operator.:nono::nono::nono:

I couldn't with snakes but I could with velvet.

I don't think she had a genuine phobia no, but maybe when she was filling in the form she couldn't think of something that she has a phobia about so she put them down because she hates them.

My own daughter would scream if you threw a cotton ball at her but it's only the thoughts of someone biting it that drives her mad. She knows it's not logical and could definitely get into a bath of them.

Maybe it was faked.

On my BB application I wrote I'm claustophobic, although that's a lie, but it's the kind of thing BB would file under "something to exploit" but if it were exploited I wouldn't care because I like small spaces haha

Nah it was a phobia along the lines of the drag queen phobia tbh. A dislike of the thing/person but not a phobia. Phobia gets used for even mild discomfort these days, its a little silly

Its like when people say that and say they would hate to wake up buried 6 feet under in a coffin

I can't even look at cartoon snakes.
I do try but then I have nightmares, it's weird as the older I get the more the phobia deepens.
Saw loads of snakes in Africa, was even bitten by one, but apart from being very aware of them and careful to try and avoid them, the phobia really only started big time years later.

If I filled in a form for CBB, I definitely wouldn't say my worst phobia because it is obvious they would make it happen.

That Jess is a clever girlxx
