Predict - Axed or Renewed?

With BBs contract coming to an end this year do you think they will axe it or renew it.

With how poor the ratings are i would say they will axe it.

It gets a lot of attention in the press, newspapers, tv appearances in other shows after being on CBB etc

It may be revamped somehow, or bought out

But cannot see it going forever

I hope it gets renewed tho I’d personally like it if another channel or company took it and revamped it into something more relevant up to date and appealing but still kept the core of the show so this generation of people can experience big brother. It gets attention just a lot of people see it as lame and annoying outside of the press headlines it sometimes gets

it use to be i think, C5 audience share grew last year but it never mentioned BB had any impact on that which makes me think they know they can survive without BB.

They will renew it I think. Despite falling ratings, its still very good ratings for a c5 show. Would be disastrous on nearly any other channel, but still pretty good for c5

After this series they have two more back-to-back on contract. I'm not sure why they are waiting to release an official statement...

If they don't renew it, they'll want to make something like UBB and BB19 should be branded as the farewell series, so they need to know now... It starts in less than 6 months.

I don't think Channel 5 have enough respect for Big Brother to give it the second 'farewell' series it would deserve. If it's ending, I would not at all be surprised if we found out after the final series has aired, with no fanfare. That's just the kind of ****ty channel they are.

Anyway, to answer the question - I would hope they extend the contract for one more year so we can at least reach BB20 but that would probably be a bit futile in their eyes so at this point I'm expecting it to be axed. Maybe they'll keep CBB on for one more year (dropping the summer series) to see if they can revitalise it...but I'm not so sure anymore.

I unfortunately think there was something in the whole "BB AXED!" rumours in the press from a couple of weeks back so I believe it's going to be axed.

it isn't, they used all their budget that they used powerpoint which was a pirated software lol

They won’t renew it for 5 years that’s for sure. I’m thinking maybe 1, announcing it this summer and having BB20 as the last BB.
