View Full Version : It's sad how a white drag queen will win

Don't get me wrong, even though I'm not a huge fan of Rupaul's Drag Race. I do appreciate drag queens, and I'm happy that Courtney Act won.

But why is it that, a white queer person is accepted, or a white camp guy is accepted;

Who has the same amount of sass and divaness (which is artificial by the way), but a black woman can't ever catch a break on Big Brother, ever.

There was no way (using recent series) that Deborah, Tiffany and Malika should not have won.

Even other non white and black queer people like Derek, Shahbaz, Govan etc. are constantly crapped on.

Yet a white queer person is loved and they end up winning. Brian, Nadia, Rylan, Julian Clary, Courtney Act etc.

Before people call me a homophobe, I'm a gay black American, African American man in my late 20s.

I don't' know why I still watch this crap.

No one should win because they are black and gay.

Which was not my damn point at all. Thank you. Don't you think I know that crap?

I'm just saying level pegged. If you removed all that crap.

Why is it that black women and black queer people always get the short end of the stick, no matter what they do?

They haven't.

Stop creating a victim complex.

How many black queers gave been short shafted?

It's not just with black queer people. I'll also add black women in addition or in connection to that as well. They can be winner material, and not win at all. But a white queer person I noticed in particular, always gets special treatment.

Victim complex, or conspiracy complex.

Victim complex would be if this crap wasn't a pattern.

Season after season, that isn't a victim complex. That means people pick and choose whom they stand by. Please come off it.

If that makes me a victim, then fine I'm a victim.

That still doesn't mean there isn't shady crap going on.

I'll add LaTeysha to that list as well. If Jason didn't evict her, she most likely would have won.

Maybe you should try not to see and judge people according to 'type' but see us as the individuals that we all are.

That is how most people think in BB - they vote for the person they like, not the demographic they represent.

Remember:

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

Courtney purely won because she was gay and all for the lgbt movement which annoyed me

And I’d usually disregard posts like this but seriously how the hell did Tiffany not win her own series LOL

If that’s the case why don’t all gay people win? They’re all for the lgbt movement

Courtney is a wonderful person, that’s the bottom line, she never spoke over anyone or belittled anyone and she always tried to educate others to see things from a better perspective

I don’t see how bitching behind people’s backs and trying to get people to dislike Ann is educating people but it certainly doesn’t qualify speaking over others!

I agree that Jasmine Masters, Trinity K Boney, Latrice Royale and Tyra Sanchez all would've made better winners but they weren't there

What an utterly pointless statement. You could apply that argument to anybody. If Helen wasn't loud she might not have won, if Brian Dowling wasn't funny he might not have won... I don't understand what point you're trying to make, other than suggesting that straight men are somehow "victims" and we should feel sorry for them.

Y'know what's the most boring thing about any given person? The things which would appear on a census form.

Hardly anyone cares about ones ethnicity or if they're LGBT anymore, so why make a victory or loss about that?

I understand where you're coming from OP.
I wish all people were colour-blind when it comes to race. Most are, which is progress, but I can't help feeling that a skin colour still plays a role in how some people vote. Sometimes it is outweighed by a really strong candidate, but I do think skin colour can still be a disadvantage.
If you add other disadvantages like being American then forget it.

Ive been making this point for years...good luck, people dont like looking in mirrors on here.
