View Full Version : The Sun forced to apologise to Amanda

In an article about Amanda Barrie, which was based on an article in the Daily Star, we reported that she had struck a special deal with the producers of Big Brother to ban them from showing her wig on air.
We are happy to make clear that Amanda has a full head of hair and so does not wear a wig. She does not have any hair loss or hair issues and so there was no such deal with Big Brother or any contract clause in place. Apologies to Amanda for this error.

I see. I mentioned the wig somewhere so of course I take it back as it's not true.
Bloody tabloids.

Its impossible to be an error. Why do they not just admit they totally made **** up just to be dickheads?

I knew it was BS , her hair looks real she even ties it up a few times . It is possible for a woman in her 80's to still have a full head of hair .

I wouldn't take at face value near anything any paper says.
I won't call them newspapers purposely.
Pathetic the lot of them.
I still don’t get why people still read this disgusting excuse for a paper

My experience of a local papers so called reporter was when there was flooding in our area.
This reporter interviewed us all, got everything muddled up and attributed wrong names to wrong addresses, wrong damage to wrong houses and when we took it up with the paper, we were told they couldn't care less.
This is where the tabloid reporters of today supposedly learn their jobs.

Wasn't there a male HM who wore a wig in a recent civi series, and had it in his contract that he's not shown without it?
Anyway, unless Amanda had a wig to deliberately look messy and "not done yet" in the mornings, it was obviously BS

What's so bad about wearing a wig. The women have worn extensions throughout the years, a wig is no different.
There may have been a hint of ageism in the article but when Amanda's hair was styled it looked very thick and looked good.
