Katie Hopkins has had her passport confiscated and been prevented from leaving South Africa after being accused by the country's authorities of 'spreading racial hatred'.

The unpopular media pundit, who has had a dramatic week after collapsing in the street and taking ketamine for an agonising shoulder dislocation, revealed she's been temporarily banned from getting on her flight home.


In a short video filmed in the airport, Katie told her followers: "At passport control, I've been through security and I've been detained, my passport has been marked for spreading racial hatred here in South Africa.

As far as I can gather, white farmers in some parts of SA are being routinely murdered by racists, and it either started recently or has picked up quite a bit, because she's not the only one talking about it.

A crowd-funded documentary about white farmers in SA being killed by black South Africans.

I mean, there ARE problems over there, on both "sides", that go back hundreds of years and farmers specifically have been targetted by various groups (who believe it's not rightfully their land, etc.) ... but, I can't imagine that Hopkins was there to conduct a thoughtful and politically aware examination of the issue, but rather to kick the racial hornet's nest to fulfil a personal agenda (and increase her profile, and make some cash). Her sort of stirring isn't going to do anything but endanger everyone further... ridiculous like she's acting like she was there to raise awareness and do the farmers a favour. Only making things worse for them.
