Quotes in signatures / signature length in general (I'VE HAD ENOUGH)

As the mods can attest I have had a strict problem with oversized signatures, since... well I joined, really :oh:

The signature guidelines are there for a reason and there is little I hate more than having a whole page taken up by BigBrotherFan93CallMeDavidLol and his 4 quotes in his signature about a hilarious conversation from the chat threads last July

I know the mods are probably sick of me using the report function for this so I propose this instead: I am bestowed with a moderator status that can only edit signatures and replace any that are a breach of the rules with a spoilered, graphic picture of Thomas_C taking a poo.

I am at breaking point I really am. This is ENTIRELY directed at you, @Epic. (you are the latest example)

Just stick to one pic, one quote, and maybe 2 lines :oh: that is more than bloody enough :oh: or put it all in a spoiler if you MUST

..yeah, I second that proposal of making Shaun a mod specifically for sig sizes ..a sigerator...because I know how much these things do push him to breaking point, which wouldn’t be very pretty to observe etc for any of us..

I use an Ipad, and theres one sig that I know looks fine(ish) on a PC cos their two gifs sit side by side, but on an ipad their two gifs sit below and on top of one another and its huge.. its also ridic on a phone

Im not opposed to this at all though really, I use my phone to browse tibb and sometimes the sigs do stretch the screen which makes it hard to read threads. I tend to put the person on ignore so I can open their posts and then hide them so the page sits normally

i don’t know how valuable my opinion is in this debate, but i would say that i don’t mind sigs being big in length as much, it’s more a wide sig that would annoy me.

don’t ban sigs altogether though, it gives the members a bit more character

I hate big signatures, I remember when the forum changed to this one and I had a youtube video of Jean Slater in my signature and everyone lost their minds about the size of it and these days people have twice the height of that and nobody blinks an eye. :nono: I have reported quite a few signatures in the past too, there needs to be some clear guideline! I don't think we need a signature mod though, people just need to take responsibility.

They are on an ipad/phone yeh, I know that Kaz's is fine on a pc cos the gifs sit side by side, but they dont on ipads! It is irritating.

Turn them off, best thing i ever did.

Ban gifs though, as yet i havnt found the off button for them...or at least only allow links to gifs rather than the gif appearing.

User CP > Edit Options > Show Images (It's within the 'Thread Display Options' bit, just underneath where the option to turn sigs off is)
