This happened a week ago and he said it was meant to be a jokeWhen did he say it was a joke? Was it after he got the pi55 ripped out of him and made to look like idiot that he is?

His tone of voice suggests it's quite clearly a tongue in cheek remark
Nuances like that aren't for everyone I guess

This makes me think he probably wasn't joking - including "queer" and "two-spirit" in an apology to LGBT is just ludicrous.

C'mon, if you are complaining about THIS from our prime minister you should really re-evaluate things and look at the political situation in the USA

Lol
This is how I feel about how the media are spinning this. Or just about everything he does or says. They microscope and edit it down till they can "get him" ... but all one has to do is read a single tweet from Trump on every given day to get "triggered" as the OP put it.
I've watched the video a few times. What is so offensive about it?

This is the most disgusting thing any prime minister or president has ever done in the history of the world ever.

i dont understand what is going on
who should i hate?
I don't know the guy or his politics, I've just heard that Canada has taken an interesting path in recent times that doesn't thrill me personally. Seems to me on that video that he is pretty socially awkward and a bit of a knob, but that's about it.

I don't find offensive, just annoying, the girl was putting forward her case in a clear manner he really didn't need to interrupt

sure but i was looking at it in a modern context
I'm surprised they let her go on for so long. I watch a lot of Q&A's and they usually limit questions to 30-45 seconds for a reason. Otherwise, everyone gets up there and hogs the mic with their soapbox.
Though his answer was kind of soap box-y/vague too. He seems like your standard politician... not sure what is so amazing about him except that he looks like a husband out of Desperate Housewives and that he gives canned responses.

There isn't anything amazing about him. He is a standard politician... they all are. The only thing that makes him good is what he isn't. He isn't Donald Trump.... he isn't Stephen Harper.
He got into the big seat by not being what Canada sees and fears in the rest of the world's politicians... but he has settled into the role of just another politician quite well lol.

But we have to admit, aside from the fact he is a politician, he does look pretty handsome  His hair is also real and not a rats nest, a nice bonus. But he's your typical politician, so for me, deduct -10 from his LKS stat...
I guess he's Canada's political antibiotics to the West and so some people are naturally going to react to that. I know very little about him though except now I know he makes great speeches and looks nice...(but he's a no go)

 Isn't it great when even the politician's people admire and wish they had in their country drops a clanger. It just goes to show they are the same the world over.

Some of the bills he passed are pretty awful, like the Pronouns Bill, and anti-"Islamophobia" laws. Discriminating or violence against muslims was already covered by other laws, so there was no need for additional legislature.

Yeah not a fan of Bill C16. I was curious if this was proposed in the US, and was surprised there is a similar law in NY already. (https://www.washingtonpost.com/) It's questionable if it's even constitutional, but we probably won't find out until the first lawsuit heads to Supreme Court... if they're even enforcing it...
