Its a saying and it may date all the way back to the Scandinavian invasions of Britain but do you think men in the UK are naturally attracted to blonde women?

It doesn't actually matter to me tbh. Blondes tend to be better looking on TV, etc but in real life you don't see as many 'good looking' ones

As a man who has been lucky to have had lots of women in my life with all hair colours I would say no.
Plus you can get great colour from a bottle and collars and cuffs don't match these days.

Yes but the blonde hair and dark eyebrows look is very good

I'm gay, and I definitely 'prefer' men with blonde hair but I guess it's just preferences. I wouldn't not date someone if they had brown hair though.

Il be honest I left a beautiful blonde ladies house one night because after spending the evening out with her, her voice was grating on me.

Personally speaking I get blonde highlights because my hair was naturally blonde as a kid, it got a bit darker as I got older so I just wanted it back to how it was, it takes easier than dying my hair dark would as well because it's already naturally pretty light in colour, equally people I know who dye their hair darker colours usually have naturally darker hair. It's alot of effort to dye dark hair blonde

Its our innate desire to be liked (attractive) and feel important. Its second only to the need to have sex which is linked.

yes of course but you could argue the same about dying your hair any other colour, or wearing make up or whatever, its about feeling good about yourself, if I go to a meeting I always wear make up even if it is all women in attendence as it makes me feel more control and that works for both men and women, maybe I am a lesbian and I didn't know it..:fist:

"feeling good about yourself"
is just a sterile way of saying exactly what i said
you feel good by feeling important and being attractive to the opposite sex because its a huge innate evolutionary desire that drives you.
although blonde does cover up grey hairs so their is that going on for women in their 40s

We were discussing this last night as we watched that Sex Doll docu (which was :umm2: odd)
The blonde hair thing dates back to Viking times as they brought blonde women and us lot were dark haired or red haired and so they became unusual and sought after

I don't fully understand patriarcy arguments if I am honest
But I do think a lot of things women do its because they are kind of pressured to do so by society. Stuff like shaving legs for example, of course some women may want to do it, some may do it to look more attractive, but some feel pressure to do it, because of the reaction they would get if they did not. If that makes sense.
Look at the reaction in the Lourdes pit hair thread tbh, for examples of this

The pressure from ‘society’, imo, is from both genders funnily enough lol some women get catty about this kinda **** and honestly Ik a lot of men who prefer women without make up, plastic hair and body features ect
But I don’t think there’s that much wrong with a little bit of work or bothering with your appearance. A lot of women enjoy getting dressed up and doing their hair and make up. People dye their hair certain colours and do different things to their body to make a statement and feel good about themselves. Of course this might imply a bigger problem with society. Maybe we are too dependant on looks. But this is a widespread problem with the modern day and social media that involves far, far more than wanting to impress those darn men that are holding women down,,l

I really do think that it comes down to the individual in this case as we all have different ticks that make us get sexually attracted to someone.
Personally I tend to find that I like alot of blonde women, redheads, and gothic looking women, but I have fancied all kinds of women in the past, even overweight women on some occasions.

There is SOME evidence that in general Westerners are more immediately attracted to blonde hair though. But that doesn't mean that everyone secretly prefers it .
