View Full Version : Do you block/unfollow people on social media who don't share your political views?

It would depend on what was being said as for example someone that would want to wipe out another group of people would be someone that I wouldn't want to associate myself with, but if they're more moderate then I can still be friends with the person.
I put Yes, but only if they are aggressive about it (i.e. nasty). I hate that from either side, it's toxic. I limit my time on social media and also make sure my feed has enough other stuff so it's not just 100% politics... as it tends to become because the only social media I use is Twitter.

Not for not sharing my views no, but for sharing 'Britain first' propaganda or for spouting simply incorrect ****e, I've been known to.

I don't use social Media any more, but when I did I wouldn't block anyone for their political leanings or opinions. I have removed people for being smarmy, passive-aggressive or... plain thick... though.
Social media comments are generally pretty toxic though, hence why I don't really use any of it any more. I have a Facebook account but pretty much only for Facebook Messenger... I don't post / browse / engage otherwise. Maybe "like" the occasional family pic.

No.
I like to hear other people’s opinions.
I only do Facebook and only have real friends and family on so I don’t have many idiots to listen to.:joker:

No I don't cut people for things like that. People are entitled to their views and I enjoy diversity. I think it would be a dull world if we were all the same. Also it seems kind of petty to me to cut someone for having different political or religious views. I've had someone unfriend me on tibb before for having different political views, or rather for not agreeing with them, I thought that was petty too.
Even in families people are diverse and hopefully you wouldn't cut your mum for voting differently or something.
Same as Smudgie I only have close friends and family on facebook anyway.

No. I have more sense than to discuss politics on Twitter.
