What if there's a disaster like in BB6 during the show??

I dont think an earthquake will happen in the UK. We arent abroad you know. And if something does happen that endangers the housemates lives then they will be evacuated from the house to a safe place.

Should housemates be told if there is a major disaster such as a terrorist attack?

Disaster is a broad term though, it could encompass many events. For example if a royal died should they be told? What if we declare war on another country?

Well in the states the house is right outside of Los Angeles, earthquake central. In bb6 an earthquake happened, but didn't really effect the house and the power went out for about a half an hour. When the September the 11th attacks happened they were told. There were only 3 left and one of them lost their cousin in the attacks, and the show got delayed by like a week, and Big Brother never knew when they would be able to air it because all of the tv coverage was just on the attacks.

yeah but it's pretty obvious if something happened the hms would be taken to safety wherever it may be. it's highly unlikely anything will happen but that's what i expect will be the outcome.

Yes I remember being convinced that it was a publicity stunt.

If there is a terrorist attack, obviously anybody who might know someone affected in the attack should be told. I seem to remember after the London bombings, they made sure that the families of all the housemates were fine, so they didn't tell them. On the one hand I think it was the right thing to do. On the other hand, what if a friend of one of the housemates had been injured?

I don't think they should be told about any natural disasters, unless it places the housemates in any kind of danger.

But given today's ruling by Ofcom, they may be so paranoid that BB8 becomes banal and anodine that people switch off in droves.
